You will not be able to drive here, only 2 ways, via an electric bus where you can take from the visitor centre at Sunlinksea main area or hike all the way towards the songlong waterfall. I do recommend to pay for a 1 way ticket towards the songlong waterfall via the bus, and after do a 45mins walk back towards the main area, that was what we did and you be able to enjoy the quietness of the rain forest, and soak in the greenery and scenic tall forest trees located all around you. The songlong waterfall is not wheelchair friendly, and there are couple of steps to reach the waterfall, so do take your time, as there are also alot of photo opportunity around the area.

Nantou Shanlinxi Forest Ecological Resort is a popular local tourist attraction. If you come by car, you can directly navigate to Shanlinxi Forest Ecological Resort, drive in the direction of Lugu Xitou, and arrive via the Twelve Zodiac Highway. The Shanlinxi Park is located on a mountain at an altitude of 1,600 meters. The climate is cool and comfortable, making it an ideal summer resort. The Shanlinxi Park covers a very large area and has many quiet forest trails. Each forest trail has a certain walking distance, so you must prepare enough time and leg strength. Of course, the park also provides paid shuttle bus services, which you can use if time is tight, but you must pay attention to the time. One of the must-see attractions in the park is Songlongyan Waterfall. We took the shuttle bus and arrived at Songlong Tribe in less than 5 minutes. You can hear the sound of the waterfall and feel the shock and momentum of the Songtakiiwa Waterfall. If you want to take pictures with the waterfall, you must be prepared to get wet, but it is really refreshing in the hot summer! This park requires an entrance fee provided if you want to take the shuttle which brings you pass the sun link sea hotel, into the Chulin Trial and also pass the flower centre at the Shanlinhsi Nature Park. But if you really want to save cost, I recommend you pay the shuttle up towards the falls and walk back down. Don't worry it won't be hot, during winter it will be cold and spring time pretty cooling cause of the beautiful trees. So, the main attraction here is the waterfall located right at the end of the trial, it is not wheel chair friendly but it's well pathed. Sadly, during our time, the waterfall is dried up and there isn't much of a gushing if water. But its an impressive sight to see from this 30m waterfall up in a elevation of 1600m.
