The enormous statue of Guanyin Goddess of Nanshan is one of the tallest in the world located in Sanya, Hainan Province. It is a famous attraction in China that you must visit especially if you beleive in Buddhism. The thousands of mini golden statues inisde the temple are one of a kind. Cameras aren't allowed once you enter the temple so I couldn't show you how emmaculate the statues are inside. Very clean and well maintained. One of the best temple that we have entered in Asia and we have been around. So it is worth the money. The temple is surrounded with a massive and beautiful park so you can easily spend your entire day here. Ticket price: Main entrance ticket costs 108 but in order for you to enter the other temple then you have to pay extra. The main Guanyin Statue temple charges 25rmb per person.. Yalong Bay Tropic Paradise Forest Park is a interesting place to visit for those that likes nature and it's also the filming location for Chinese drama called "亲爱的热爱的" also known as "Go Go Squid". The Guanyin of Nanshan is a “must see” if you are visiting Sanya, China! This statue stands at 108 meters (354ft) tall and has three unique sides. Pictures cannot capture the sheer magnitude of the bodhisattva Guanyin. We took a DiDi from our hotel in Yalong Bay to visit and walked to the base of the statue after we purchased entrance tickets. We were excited to learn that there is an entire, multi story shrine located inside of the statue and spent quite a while exploring the beauty inside. Once we reached the sixth floor, we left through an exit that took us to the base of the statue. The views were stunning! There is a lot to explore around the area. Getting There - You can take a bus which goes all the way to the park or you can take a Didi which cost me 150rmb Attractions - The park is big and beautiful. There is so much to see and photograph. Unfortunately there were heavy rains so I couldn't see much except for the temple under the Goddess. Hotels - I stayed at the Phoenix Island Resort on Phoenix Island. It's famous for having bathtubs on the balcony of each room. Food & Restaurants - Plenty of food vendors on site. Only Chinese food, no western. It is set beautifully in the sea and near a very nice #beach This amazing statue is more than 100 meters tall and set in the sea. It should still be one of tallest statues around. To access it, you have to walk through a long bridge. To get there, easiest is to follow a day tour where they will bring you there directly and give you clear instructions on access. The interior is quiet and solemn, with Buddhist scriptures, murals, and sculptures neatly arranged, offering plenty to see. There is also a place where the statue is enshrined, and a small altar where Buddhists can pray. The softly lit space is overall clean and well-maintained, with impressive decorations and intricate sculptures on each floor. There are few windows, and the external view is limited, but the structure and symbolism of the interior itself are the focus. The entire route is not long, making it easy to tour without feeling overwhelmed. It is an interesting space not only for religious purposes but also for visitors interested in architecture.

Nanshan is famous for its statue of the bodhisattva Guanyin. Many people just take pictures at skipping the line to enter the statue. My recommendation is to enter Guanyin for several reasons: here you will see stunning views from the above and most importantly you can see the beauty of the temple inside. Moving in the line may seem long and uncomfortable but actually the line moves rather fast plus there are umbrellas covering from the sun during the whole waiting line that mules it more comfortable than we even expected. #springwander

We visited the 108-meter-tall white-robed Guanyin statue, experiencing a sense of pious faith. We burned incense and copied Buddhist scriptures. While copying the scriptures, we muted our phones and focused on the text and the Buddhist rituals. It brought us a moment of inner peace. After copying the scriptures, we followed the crowd to the underground area of Guanyin's lotus throne, marveling at the 108-meter statue. We walked around the statue, prayed, and looked out at the distant sea. Its colors ranged from blue to green, and seeing its hues, I felt that they were exactly as they should be. We gazed quietly into the distance, feeling the wind and the sea, relaxing, listening, meditating, and daydreaming. Afterwards, we visited the 33 Bodhisattva Hall and Nanshan Temple, experiencing the charm of Nanshan culture. Tickets🎫: 108/person Transportation🚗: We took a DiDi (ride-hailing service). Next to it is Baihua Valley, which is also a place for food, drink and entertainment. There is also Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park. It is so close that you can go there in the morning and come back in the afternoon.
