[Hong Kong] Delicious egg tarts!
#OverseasTravel
Established in 1954, Tai Cheong Bakery is one of Hong Kong's most famous and oldest bakeries.
They are especially known for their egg tarts, beloved by Hong Kong's last British Governor, Chris Patten.
Tai Cheong's egg tarts feature a buttery, cookie-like crust and a warm, creamy custard filling.
I ate them right out of the oven!
Besides egg tarts, Tai Cheong Bakery also serves other traditional Hong Kong treats such as Sha Wong (Chinese doughnuts), Sesame Kao (black sesame pudding), and Dan Huang Lian Rong Su (salted egg yolk and lotus seed paste pastry). These snacks are baked fresh daily and continue to retain their nostalgic appeal for locals and tourists alike.
The main store is located at 35 Pui Fia Street in Central, Hong Kong, but there are multiple branches across Hong Kong, including The Peak Galleria and several MTR stations. This means you can enjoy Tai Cheong's delicious treats wherever you are!
