[2025 Singapore Restaurant] Travel Guide for Takagi Ramen (Updated May)

My family and I frequent Takagi Ramen, simply because it serves pretty authentic ramen and another plus point is that they do not charge service charge at all. The restaurant keeps their prices low and you can even request for 1 extra serving of noodles for free, if you have an enormous appetite. I ordered their chashu ramen and it comes with 5 pieces of chashu meat. The portion was big, and the soup was rich in pork broth. All these for only $9, super affordable. At the ordering kiosks, you can have the options to add more noodles, soup or meat, etc or even make it into a set which comes with a drink and a side like gyozas. The restaurant has comfortable seatings and I love that there are garnishes by the side of every table. You can sprinkle more sesame seeds, chilli oil or powder into your noodles if you would like to. Takagi ramen is a highly recommended ramen joint. #tripblazers #foodie

There are currently 8 outlets in Singapore, with a few of the stores operating 24 hours, including the Yishun outlet I had visited. The Yishun Chong Pang neighborhood store was quite quiet at around 7+ with just 3 tables filled. I ordered a Chashu don ($3.90 nett), and the portion was quite big considering that it's just $3.90. Their Chashu are quite thin, but there are a few pieces. Egg mayonnaise given was quite a lot too. There's also free flow of condiments such as white sesame, red ginger and more you can help yourself with. Taste wise, I feel it's quite nice too. The one that is nearest to the town area is the one at the doby exchange, which is located at the doby ghaut mrt train station. The restaurant is located just above the doby ghaut mrt station. The prices of the food are amazing. You can get a bowl of pulled pork with fragrant rice, together with a cup of iced oolong or green tea, for just six dollars. They do have other choices such as their famous ramen, which is served with a bowl of hot boiled pork soup. It is definitely a must try for those who like to have more collagen as the soup has been brewed for many hours. The taste was great too as I have tried out some of the ramen choices in the past. The dining environment is also very cozy, and is great for friends gatherings. Be sure to take a bite here then next time you are at the plaza Singapura area .

#familytrips2024 I had the Takagi ramen which has a wide range of Japanese food choices. Apart from their famous noodles, they also have rice too. My favorite would be the soft shelled crab with the ramen noodle. The fried soft shell crab is very tasty and crunchy. It really goes well with the ramen and the soup too . We will visit here again in the future. For our dream destination for our family trip, we would like to visit Osaka city. We would like to visit their temple there as well as trying out their authentic ramen and other famous Japanese dishes there too.

It is served with thin chashu slices that were lean yet rather tender. The Black Tonkotsu ($7.90) is intensely aromatic, with a strong fragrance from the slow-roasted black garlic. This bowl was also generously filled with additional toppings of black fungus and bamboo shoots. We also tried some of their sides. The Ebi Fry ($5.90) was fried to nicely crisp yet being light and not too oily, while the Takoyaki ($5.90) had a lovely chewy texture.
