Trip Moments Recommendations
#The Guest-Greeting Pine Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Travel to Huangshan this May Day, for a pine tree awaits you
May trip to Huangshan: Ascend to the clouds and embrace the beauty of Huizhou.
1. **Depart for Huangshan**: Take the high-speed train directly to Huangshan North Station, where your convenient journey begins. To ensure seamless connection, consider booking a carpool service through your hotel. Usually, it's a seven-seater vehicle, cost-effective at only 40 yuan per person. Even as night falls, you'll be smoothly delivered to the foot of Huangshan, seamlessly connecting with the beauty of nature.
2. **Resting Choices**: Wisely choose your accommodation near the ticket checkpoint for an early and quick start in the morning, or use ride-hailing apps like DiDi for flexible travel, saving precious time on your hiking day.
3. **Ticket Tips**: Plan your budget carefully. The entrance fee for Huangshan is about 190 yuan, plus the round-trip cable car and scenic shuttle bus costs, the average expenditure is expected to be 400 yuan per person, offering a one-stop experience of all the charms of Huangshan.
4. **Hiking Diary**: After descending the cable car, you will be greeted by the iconic Welcoming Pine, a must-visit spot not to be missed. Note that the Lotus Peak and Celestial Capital Peak are open alternately, switching every five years due to the narrow one-way mountain paths, especially on weekends. It is advised to enter the mountain at 7 am to deal with possible queues at the summit, which takes about two hours. The company of fellow hikers makes the journey less lonely, and the scenery along the way helps forget fatigue. The day's itinerary is packed, descending from the main peak, passing by Ao Fish Peak, Bright Summit, Monkey Gazing at the Sea to Dream Pen Flowering, with natural wonders unfolding one by one, from the first light of dawn to the sunset, the full-day trek is physically challenging but also immensely rewarding.
5. **Impressions of Huangshan**: The beauty of Huangshan lies in the endless green pines and cypresses standing on the cliffs; in the layered mountains that inspire infinite imagination beyond; in every step taken on the paths where history and nature intertwine, feeling the ancient stories brought by every breeze. Huangshan's transportation network is convenient and efficient, with crowds of tourists and on-demand carpooling services, ensuring a safe and smooth journey for your trip.
This May Day, Huangshan is the perfect destination. Take this detailed guide with you and embark on a spontaneous feast for both the soul and the eyes.

Checking in at Mount Huangshan was all worth it
I took the Yuping Cableway up the mountain around 2:30 pm on September 26th, dropped off my luggage at the Yupinglou Hotel, and went straight to see the Welcoming Pine next door. Then I went to climb the Lotus Peak
It was really steep, but the beautiful scenery truly healed our eyes! Coming down the mountain, the light that fell on us felt like a baptism. Witnessed the sunset, and took a beautiful sunset photo for a lady
Met many warm and friendly people on the way who encouraged us, everything was so beautiful
Huangshan Snow Scenery|23-year-old end-of-year snow wish
|23-year-old end-of-year snow wish.Return from the Five Mountains without looking at the mountains, return from Huangshan without looking at the mountains. Taking advantage of the end of 23 years old, I can finally go to climb the long-awaited mountain peak! It is said to be very leg-consuming, and the result is indeed lying for three days haha. After climbing, you must soak your feet + stretch.
Huangshan Route Planning
I strongly recommend that sports wastes like me take the cable car up the mountain. Because the Yuping cable car was overhauled and I particularly wanted to see the Welcoming Pine, our route was: Huangshan South Gate→Mountain Bus
(20min)→Yungu Cableway Upward (12min)→Black Tiger Pine→Beihai Hotel→Flying Stone→Bright Top→Baiyun Hotel→Ao Fish Peak→A Line Sky→Hundred Steps Cloud Ladder→Welcoming Pine→Ciguang Pavilion→Downhill Bus→Huangshan South Gate
Huangshan Time Planning
We arrived at the Vienna Hotel near the South Gate of Huangshan the night before, without special forces, set off at 9:30 in the morning, and arrived at the South Gate at 10:00. 10:00-11:00 Bus cableway up the mountain, 11:00-13:00 Arrive at Bright Top, 14:00-15:30 From Bright Top all the way down the mountain to Welcoming Pine, 15:30-17:30 Walk down the mountain to Ciguang Pavilion.
Equipment to bring
👔Recommend short assault clothes and down jackets, preferably lighter. I am a cold-resistant player, I chose Bosideng goose down, not cold at all, and not very hot when climbing.
🕶️Sunglasses must be worn, the snow scene is very dazzling under the sun. And it's cool to take pictures haha.
🧤Cashmere, waterproof, non-slip gloves must be carried, it is best to have mobile phone touch screen function. There are 5 yuan a pair of wool gloves at the foot of the mountain, which are very useful, but they are not non-slip and not good for grabbing railings. The scarf can be worn shorter. The hat must be thick, wool, cashmere, ordinary wool can be, especially freezing head. Socks can consider sports elastic socks, do not wear thick velvet, do not absorb sweat, and if the weather is too cold and the feet sweat, the socks will be very cold.
🥿Hiking shoes or snow boots, but it is best to have studs on the shoes. I strongly recommend buying two good quality ice claws at the foot of the mountain, so you won't fall on the icy road downhill to see Grandpa.
🍚Self-heating rice + thermos cup + mineral water + Red Bull + small snacks are indispensable, carbohydrates and hot water can really replenish energy. Self-heating rice must add water by yourself, family! There are few hot water collection points set up on the road, and there are few places to buy water, which is not very convenient. There is lunch on the mountain but it is quite expensive, about 110 self-service meals.
🔋Power bank, family. Children who don't carry cameras up the mountain will always take out their phones to take pictures.
Some nagging: Remember to check the weather of Huangshan in advance, if there is fog, you may not see the sea of clouds. Be sure to act according to your own physical strength, it is not recommended to walk up the mountain from Ciguang Pavilion for sports wastes who do not exercise daily. The downhill road is icy, slippery and narrow, you must slow down.
The shock of Huangshan's scenery is indescribable. When the cable car breaks through the layers of fog, the sun and the blue sky are sprinkled into the arms, it is really a fairyland on earth. In the future seasons, I will go to Huangshan to watch the sunrise and sunset again.
WELCOME TO Huangshan
Just got back, and I have summarized a few points, all practical tips,
1. For transportation, you need to take the high-speed train to Huangshan North, and it's best to arrive at Huangshan North before 6:00 AM. If you arrive later, you can only take a taxi, which will cost at least 140. Once in Huangshan, use Didi for taxis, it's very cheap,
2. Hotels, Huangshan hotels have both hostels and chain hotels. I suggest going directly for chain hotels, which are slightly more expensive than hostels, because the cleanliness and sound insulation of hostels are really unsatisfactory, and I regretted it as I couldn't sleep well. If you really end up staying in a hostel, please do not listen to the owner offering to arrange transportation services! I will explain below
3. It's best to get up between 5-6 AM to go to Huangshan. Take a taxi to the South Gate (do not listen to the driver who offers to buy tickets for you, claiming it's free, do not listen), keep walking straight, do not trust any locals (there will be many scalpers who will say they can help you buy round-trip tickets, claiming that you need to reserve the bus for the return trip, usually scalpers charge about 154 per person, which is a rip-off). Go to the official ticket office, buy a ticket for 190, then buy a bus ticket for 19, and it's the same price for the return trip, no need to wait
4. For strategies to climb the mountain, you can search for many bloggers' suggested routes, but what needs to be emphasized is, do not start with playing in the West Sea Grand Canyon, do not keep walking down. If you walk down, you will end up at the bottom of the valley. To return to the Bright Summit, you either have to go back the same way (4.5 kilometers, and it's all uphill one-way) or take the small train (which is a rip-off at 100 per ticket for a 2-3 minute ride). It's better to wait until after visiting the Lotus Peak, Welcoming Pine, and Bright Summit, then go to the West Sea as there is a direct way down to return. Otherwise, you'll have to pay for the small train to go back, and returning the same way is basically impractical.
Zi Tong wishes everyone a successful ascent.
Huangshan has such breathtaking wonders that this trip is worthwhile
It is said that after returning from Huangshan, you don't want to climb other mountains. Is it really so?
Huangshan is famous for its wonders, and many travel bloggers and internet celebrities have come to this place for shooting and promotion. I followed a travel blogger who travels alone named (Xiao Xiao).
Her shooting of the snow scene in Huangshan is really beautiful that makes people can't wait to come to Huangshan for tourism.
After a short rest, our team of four continued to walk towards the highest point. The steps gradually became steeper, and the slope of the steps was probably only 90°.
After about 2 hours of walking, the sun emerged and shone on the icy stones, the rime on the steps, and the ground became more and more slippery. The tourists were also careful to step up.
Gradually, we saw local workers carrying heavy burdens and stepping up the steps. The baskets on each side were filled with many bottles of Nongfu Spring. Assuming a bottle of mineral water sells for 15 yuan on the mountain, I think this is what they deserve.
After the passage of time and our unyielding perseverance, we finally arrived at the iconic place of the Welcoming Pine. Speaking of the Welcoming Pine, it often appears in various tourist brochures and posters. There are also many cliff carvings next to the Welcoming Pine, such as the first place in Huangshan after Xu Xiake came, and the words 'Cloud Sea Dachuan' were inscribed by Zhang Daqian, plus the poem 'The country is so charming' created by Chairman Mao.
Then I found a small shop halfway up the mountain and bought a Taiwanese sausage for each of my teammates. The price is 10 yuan for 2 sausages and 20 yuan for 4 sausages, which is not very expensive. We replenished our bodies with energy and continued to climb after we had rested. The slogan of our team is to take down the small Huangshan. Come on!
Venture far for a stunning feast on earth!
Huangshan's beauty is a bit ahead of its time!! A detailed guide to Huangshan
Just climbed Huangshan yesterday, very tired but really beautiful! It's worth it, write a guide to reward yourself for the trip:
Take the high-speed train to Huangshan North Station, the hotel helped us contact a private car directly from the station to the hotel.

First, choose the best travel time. 📆 The suitable travel time for Huangshan is from April to November, especially October in autumn, when you can enjoy the red leaves.
Second, prepare for cold weather. ❄️ The temperature in Huangshan varies greatly, with a significant difference between morning and evening. You need to prepare thick coats, hats and other cold-proof items.
Third, choose a reasonable itinerary. 🚶♂️ You can first visit Yuping Tower and Welcoming Pine, then visit Bright Summit and Tiandu Peak to avoid repeating the route.
Fourth, buy tickets for the Sea of Clouds cable car for convenient travel around the mountain. 🚠 Huangshan is large in area, you can buy tickets for the Sea of Clouds cable car online in advance, which can greatly reduce walking time.
Fifth, carry food and water with you. 🍎 Walking on Huangshan consumes a lot of physical strength, it is recommended to prepare dry food, water, juice and other food and water.
Sixth, pay attention to the accommodation time of different hostels. 🛏 Pay attention to the accommodation time of different hostels to avoid affecting the itinerary and leaving you nowhere to stay.
Seventh, protect the environment and take the garbage down the mountain. 🗑 Take the garbage generated during the trip down the mountain consciously, do not litter, and protect the environment together.
Eighth, respect other tourists and do not make loud noises. 🙏 Do not make loud noises to disturb others, keep quiet so as not to destroy the local atmosphere.
Ninth, choose a hiking route suitable for your physical strength. 🧗♀️ The length and difficulty of Huangshan's trails vary, you can choose reasonably according to your own situation.
Tenth, enjoy the sunrise over the sea of clouds in Huangshan. 🌅 The sunrise over the sea of clouds in Huangshan is magnificent, don't miss it, and leave unforgettable memories.
Wish you a pleasant journey, and have lots of fun in the mountain!
Welcoming Pine, Huangshan Scenery
Climbing Huangshan, there is no mountain in the world that is not a false name. Finally, there is a strategy map
Going up the mountain by Yuping Cableway
Welcoming Pine: When you get to the Welcoming Pine, take a few pictures and hurry up to queue for Lotus Peak
Lotus Peak: I went there that day and there were a lot of people. I queued for two or three hours to reach Lotus Peak. There is a staff member there who everyone calls 'Three Second Brother'. He only gives you three seconds to take pictures. 123 walk, next one. So be sure to let your companions take a few shots for you in a hurry.
Hundred Step Cloud Ladder, A Line of Sky: From Lotus Peak, walk towards Bright Summit, you will pass Hundred Step Cloud Ladder, A Line of Sky. I didn't go to A Line of Sky because there were too many people and it was blocked. I couldn't walk at all. I chose the road next to it. If there are fewer tourists, you can walk A Line of Sky. The scenery is also good, but it is steeper than the road next to it. But it's closer.
Turtle Fish Peak: Picture 8 This place is also very good, but if you want to take pictures, pay attention to safety. Bright Summit: The scenery here is also very good.
Flying Stone: I went to touch the Flying Stone, touch it four times, once for peach blossom luck, twice for wealth luck, and then I don't know what it is.
West Sea Grand Canyon: It's a pity that I didn't go there. I was afraid that I wouldn't have time to go directly to the cableway to go down the mountain. The cableway closes at 16.40.
I took the Taiping District cableway down the mountain, which can accommodate 100 people.
The world star's Huangshan welcoming pines, in the view of Yamano I, is very necessary to describe the rich colors. I came to Huangping Yuping Scenic Area to see Yingkesong. After I went back, many people asked me what kind of welcoming guests? Have you seen the welcoming pine? I didn't have the right words, so when I came to Huangshan, I focused on this famous welcoming pine.
Welcome Song is the soul symbol of Huangshan in UNESCO. At the same time, welcoming guests is also a symbol of the Anhui people's hospitality. Such a symbol is not a general hospitality. But when you arrive in the area covered by the Huizhou culture in southern Anhui, you will find that this kind of hardworking, kind and hospitable simple farmer welcomes every guest in the world at every moment. At the same time, this welcoming pine is also the provincial tree of Anhui and the totem of the spirit and values of the Anhui people. Such a spirit and totem not only belong to the Anhui people but also belong to the entire Chinese people, but also belong to the entire Chinese nation!
This welcoming pine with a height of nearly a thousand years is about 11 meters in height, and it grows magically in hard rock. It absorbs a very small amount of mineral elements in the stone, and more is to create more nutrients for yourself by absorbing the natural world's nutritious gas and sun and moon essence to make yourself a thousand-year-old magical tree.
Create conditions for survival from the intractable environment. Isn't the Huangshan welcoming pine spirit a symbol of Huizhou people's pursuit of opportunities and development in the poor and backward areas to Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai?
The cultural heritage of Huizhou since ancient times is not born, but created by the Huizhou people themselves. The celebrities in Huizhou have not been under the command since ancient times, but the Huizhou people themselves have cultivated hard. The achievements of generations of celebrities, ancient buildings, and the craftsmanship of the four treasures of the Wenfang are enough to show that the spirit of self-reliance of the Anhui people is completely consistent with this welcoming pine. This is really a tacit understanding of heaven!
Here, the environment around Yingkesong itself is also very pleasant. The word Jiangshan is so beautiful on the stone where Yingkesong is located is enough to prove how picturesque the scenery is. In the vicinity of Yingkesong, you can see the scenic spots of the North Sea and the West Sea. This time is very shocking! It will make people feel that the trip to Huangshan is not empty.
1, regarding the ticket:
Huangshan ticket charges are different charging methods for the off-season and peak season. Generally speaking, the off-season is January, February and December of each year, and the fare is 150 yuan; The time is March to November of each year, and each ticket is 230 yuan. Tickets for the Huangshan Yingkesong Scenic Spot are included in the entire first ticket of Huangshan Mountain, and there is no need to purchase another ticket.
2, scenic opening hours:
Monday to Friday, Sunday is 06
