The best (and oldest) Gelato in Florence is not to be missed. Despite the rain, they still had queues down the road and the shop was bustling with eager Gelato fans keen to get their hands on a taste of the creamy goodness! Vivoli is one of the oldest gelateria place that serve the perfect affogato in Florence! I’ve seen many video and photos all over the internet and I saved it to my “to go” place very long ago, so glad that I finally get to try it! Be prepared to queue because it’s always busy, it worth queuing because it’s really so pretty and delicious. Of course I had to order their most popular classic affogato, they made it right in front of me, it was so pretty and yummy! I would definitely queue it again if I’m visiting Florence again :) My husband ordered 2 gelatos and it was as good as well, my husband really enjoyed the gelato. There are many other desserts around this store, many different flavours of tiramisu. Just to take note that the seating here are very limited, but a family friendly place. But, you can bring it to eat outside, it’s also very nice to stand and enjoy the ice cream. I would highly recommend this place when you’re visiting Florence, it’s affordable too. Enjoy!

#TravelWithMe The Cremacaffe at Gelateria VIVOLI in Florence was delicious. Creamy gelato is placed along the edge of a chilled cappuccino cup, and hot espresso is poured into the hole in the middle. The contrast is amazing. I liked it so much that I went there every day during my trip to Florence. I think it's because the creamy gelato is so delicious. VIVOLI has these small doors called Buchette del vino (wine hole) or Finestrini del vino (small wine windows). Around the 16th century, these were used as a window for wine-producing aristocrats to sell wine directly from their mansions, but many of them have already been blocked off. However, as a measure to maintain social distance during the COVID-19 pandemic, the wine holes were revived and coffee, gelato, etc. were served. A cool idea unique to Florence that made the COVID-19 pandemic more enjoyable.

It's Vivoli, the oldest gelato restaurant in Florence! It's such a famous and popular place that I had to wait in line. However, since it's a gelato shop, the line moved quickly. Vivoli is famous for its rice-based risotto gelato, and the texture was fun because the rice grains were chewy. Vivoli is also famous for its affogato, which is a dessert of cream ice cream and espresso. You can also order it as decaf.
