Departing from Zhengzhou for a day trip to Kaifeng, whether you take the bus or the intercity train, the speed is quite fast and very convenient. I set off in the afternoon and took the intercity train from Zhengzhou East to Songcheng Road Station. After getting off the train, there is a bus that goes to the scenic area. I bought a joint ticket for three gardens, first visited the Han Garden, then went to the Kaifeng City Wall to watch the sunset, and in the evening, I went to Wansui Mountain Martial Arts City to watch a performance. The day's itinerary was packed and clear. Taiyuan has poetry programs, and the city wall also has a light show. What surprised me the most was the iron flower performance at Wansui Mountain at night, which was really fantastic, definitely the best I have ever seen. Wansui Mountain Scenic Area closes at 11 pm, and the last iron flower show is at 10 pm. By this time, many people have left, so you don't have to worry about not getting a seat in the audience. The show at five o'clock was almost full by three-thirty! Any later and you'd have to sit on the steps in the aisle to experience it firsthand! I went on a spontaneous trip with my travel buddy to Kaifeng, Henan, one of the eight ancient capitals with more than two thousand years of history. D1 Xiangyang-Zhengzhou-Songcheng In the evening, after a 3-hour high-speed train ride, snacking on spicy chicken with beer, we embarked on a carefree journey and stayed overnight at Mo Li Guesthouse in the Drum Tower District, a Southeast Asian-style courtyard, so relaxing! After a quick breakfast at a roadside shop, I headed straight to Iron Pagoda Park (free of charge). I looked up the history of the Iron Pagoda online (I won't explain here), took a tour, and then went to Wansui Mountain. There were so many people at Wansui Mountain, I browsed, watched, squeezed through the crowds, and checked in. This place, hyped by the internet, is too suitable for the young, sigh!
