The cost is 50 rmb and at the gate the park members will help you get digital tickets. Got so lucky to be living in Lijiang, Yunnan. Aside from satisfying my eyes from its magical views, most scenic spots are free of charge! I was about to pay 50 rmb for the entrance fee but the cashier asked where I live, I'm living in Lijiang so it's free! Wufeng tower is a representation of Naxi architecture. It is recommende the site to visit in any season, each season has the special unique and majestic scenery. I went in spring, the scenery was captivating, the lake is crystal clear, and the place is immaculate. The original site of the Five Phoenix Tower was located in the Fuguo Temple on Zhishan Mountain, 11 kilometers northwest of Lijiang City, Yunnan Province. In 1979, it was relocated to Black Dragon Pool Park. The Five Phoenix Tower was first built in the 29th year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1601). In the first month of the Jiazi year of the Tongzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1864), Fuguo Temple was destroyed by war, and it was rebuilt in the 8th year of the Guangxu reign (1882). The temple was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution, and only the gate towers of the "Five Phoenix Tower" and "Jietuo Forest" were preserved. The floor plan of the Five Phoenix Tower is nearly square, with a total width of 18.9 meters and a depth of 17.78 meters, covering an area of 256 square meters. The Five Phoenix Tower has 20 interlocking flying eaves and 24 corners over three levels. From any angle, there are five winged corners, resembling five phoenixes about to take flight, hence the name Five Phoenix Tower. The tower features a unique design, tight structure, exquisite carvings, and vibrant paintings, blending architectural styles of the Han, Tibetan, and Naxi ethnic groups. It is a treasure and a typical example of ancient Chinese architecture.

Welcome to the historical and cultural heart of Lijiang's most beautiful park, the Wufenglou of Fuguo Temple🌸. ❣️Also known as Fayun Pavilion, Wufenglou was originally located in the Fuguo Temple on Zhishan in the northwest of Lijiang Naxi Autonomous County. In 1979, it was relocated to the northern side of the county town, by the Black Dragon Pool. The building is square in plan, a three-tiered, multi-angled wooden structure, standing 17 meters tall and approximately 18 meters wide and deep. 🎞️The first, second, and third floors each have eight, twelve, and four flying eave corners respectively, resembling five phoenixes standing tall and elegant, hence the name. The layout of Wufenglou is in the shape of a "Y", a typical layout form of Buddhist temples. The ceiling inside the building is painted with Tai Chi diagrams, dragon and phoenix auspicious patterns, with smooth lines.
