There are many nice chinese restaurants, interesting tea houses, coffee places, little shops selling local snacks which are great for souvenirs too. Great place to do photo and video shoots. For authentic pieces, visit Xiujiang Silk shops. Don't fall for "free Pingtan performances" - once inside, they'll try to sell you tea and souvenirs, it's a complete setup! But!!!
