Lingnan Red Leaf World - A Top Spot for Maple Viewing in Guangdong
Every year from October to December is the season to admire the fiery red maple leaves🍁. Last mid-November, my girlfriend and I visited Lingnan Red Leaf World to see the maple leaves. Unfortunately, our timing wasn't perfect, as many leaves had already fallen, and we missed the spectacular sight of a sea of red leaves. The park staff mentioned that the next peak period for red maples would be in early December and mid-March.
According to the introduction, Lingnan Red Leaf World covers an area of about 4,000 acres, with an average altitude of 1,000 meters. The park is home to tens of thousands of maple trees, including American maples, Japanese maples, and Four Seasons Flame maples. The countless maple trees are interspersed among tea fields, creating a stunning red and green landscape that stretches as far as the eye can see. The viewing period can last until April.
Besides viewing the maple leaves in Lingnan Red Leaf World, you can also climb to the Sky Mirror to enjoy a panoramic view of the entire park and the surrounding magnificent scenery, including breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. The park offers accommodation options such as stargazing rooms, lake view rooms, and garden view rooms. In the evening, various activities like bonfires and barbecues are held. There is a picturesque arch bridge over a beautiful small lake, and unique Hobbit houses by the lake. Photography enthusiasts will find plenty of opportunities to capture stunning photos here.
