The golden rice terraces of Zhongwu Park in autumn.
What could be more fitting for the golden autumn of October than golden rice fields? On the last day of the National Day holiday, when everyone is on their way back home, I came to Zhongwu Park again in the warm afternoon to see the rice fields in the idyllic scenery of Liuxi Forest and Field.
Because of my previous experience of visiting in spring, I know the general layout and landscape distribution of the park. I know that there are not only rice fields here, but also some rice fields on the slopes, which is different from other places. So, you can see the rare terraced rice fields in Beijing. Although it is only three or four layers of terraces on a small hill, it cannot be compared with the real terraces in the southern mountainous and hilly areas, but it is also good to see these landscapes in the city.
What's more, the weather is really nice, the sky is blue, the autumn is high and the air is fresh, and the rice fields in the sun are shining with golden light, so that people who have lived in the concrete jungle for a long time can also feel the simple joy of harvest, which is really happy and comfortable.
People walk along the field ridge to the field, basking in the sun, and take photos with the golden rice fields symbolizing the harvest, which is a beautiful oil painting.
The small hill in the middle of the park is the main location of rice fields and terraces. The small lake in front of the hill is now surrounded by lush reeds, which makes the water surface a little smaller, but it attracts white-boned water chickens to roost here, which I have never seen before.
There are also small rice fields on the west bank of the small lake.
Looking west from the hill, you can see Yuyuan Mountain and the pagoda in the west, and now the golden rice fields are under the pagoda.
Go down the stairs on the west side of the hill, pass a smaller lake with a landmark stone bridge, and continue to walk northwest. Near the West Suburb Line, there is a large flat rice field with few people, or basically no one.
Of course, there are not many people in the whole Zhongwu Park, and there are only a few more people on the hillside terraces.
There are also sculptures like silhouettes reflecting various farming stages designed according to Kangxi's "Peiwenzhai Gengzhi Tu" in the rice fields of Zhongwu. They are not very conspicuous in the bare fields in spring, but they are very complementary to the golden and full rice fields in autumn.
Look at the golden terraces in the warm autumn sun, feel the joy of harvest only in autumn, and this pleasant autumn afternoon is a perfect end to the National Day holiday.
