We spend an amazing week at roatan and a day at San Pedro Sula. Honduras have given the image it’s not really a safe country but I did not sense any danger throughout my time there. Roatan is a Caribbean island which is not the easiest to get to. We flew from El Salvador first to San Pedro Sula , spent a few hours there walked the market and the famous church and then another hour flight to Roatan. First we stayed 3 nights in West end and another 3 at west bay. West Bay definitely had more beautiful beaches and also better for snorkelling. Heaven for those who loves scuba diving. Just bear in mind Roatan has attracted a lot of tourists from neighbouring counties including America therefore I was actually quite surprised the prices there are actually not cheap. And don’t expect luxury. Overall I’m glad I went but probably won’t return in the short coming future
