The White Cliffs of England, otherwise a dream of white in the mortal world, are the end of the world!
The White Cliffs of England, otherwise a dream of white in the mortal world
The White Cliffs of England are hailed by 'National Geographic' as the end of the world. Located in the southern part of England, they serve as a boundary line between the mountains and the sea, dating back to the Cretaceous period 100 million years ago. It is said that when looking towards England from the European continent, the prominent white cliffs are visible, hence the cliffs are also considered a symbol of England. The White Cliffs of Dover
During World War II, there was a popular song called 'There'll Be Bluebirds Over the White Cliffs of Dover', which was about the cliffs of Dover. It is said that when the British navy returned home and saw the cliffs of Dover, it meant they had seen home.

Driving there is more convenient, the lighting is better before 11 am or after 4 pm. Sunset is around 9:30, bring a jacket for wind protection. There is a dedicated parking lot, which charges 6 pounds/2 hours, coins only. (You can download an app to pay online)

United Kingdom | The real beauty without filters!
I drove from London to Canterbury and the White Cliffs of Dover. It didn't take long, just a 2-hour drive from the very central district to reach London's backyard, which is the picturesque town shown in photos 1-6. Due to a strong wind warning that day, the boats on the lake were also temporarily out of service, otherwise, you could enjoy even more beautiful scenery along the river!
Navigate to 🚗 Westgate Gardens | westgate garden
I arrived at the White Cliffs of Dover later in the day, and after being blown over by the arrogant wind, I only walked a short distance. It's just a half-hour drive from Canterbury! The bus takes about the same amount of time.
🍠 Friends, if you're coming to the UK from May to August, don't miss this stunningly picturesque town! Finally, I'd like to share a Turkish restaurant next to Westgate Gardens, it's incredibly delicious, the last two photos

Most of the pictures you have posted on here are NOT of the White Cliffs Of Dover. They are in fact, of the Seven Sisters, near Brighton, which is part of the South Downs National Park, and about 80 miles away from Dover!

National Geographic didn't lie to me! The end of the land is too shocking!
It's the ceiling of British landscapes in my mind. Here are some travel tips for the White Cliffs.
🌊 Itinerary:
◾️D1: London-Eastbourne-White Cliffs
👉🏻 Take a bus from Eastbourne to Beachy Head to start hiking, walk up 100 meters from Belle Tout and then look back, this is the best photo spot! If you're not very fit, you can take a bus from here to the next stop.
👉🏻 From Birling Gap station, walk up through the parking lot to reach the best spot to view the Seven Sisters, and take the bus back from here as well.
◾️D2: Eastbourne- Cuckmere Haven- Lewes-Brighton
👉🏻 Take a taxi in the morning to Cuckmere Haven, walk down from the parking lot to see the seaside house from 'Atonement' where the protagonists dreamed of living. To the left of the house, you can reach the beach used in the movie.
👉🏻 Arrive in Lewes at noon, a treasure town I really like! The town has a unique feel with its hillside construction, and walking up the road leads to an ancient castle. There are many antique shops in town where you can find nice second-hand items.
👉🏻 Arrive in Brighton before sunset, you definitely can't miss the seaside sunset here.
◾️D3: Brighton-London
👉🏻 Go for a Citywalk in Brighton: The Lane→Kensinton Gardens→Queens Rd→West St
👉🏻 Take the train back to London in the afternoon.

🌊 Photography tips:
❶ Beachy Head
The highest point of the White Cliffs and the highest coastal cliff in the UK, where you can overlook the red and white lighthouse, the light is best in the evening.
❷ Belle Tout
The section from Beachy Head to Belle Tout has larger undulations, where you can capture the staggered White Cliffs, winding lawns, and lighthouse. This is my favorite part of the White Cliffs scenery. Walk about 100 meters towards Belle Tout lighthouse, and looking back, you can take a cover photo!
❸ Seven Sisters White Cliffs
There are 7 consecutive white cliffs here, which is the location for Jay Chou's music video and also a great spot to watch the sunset.
❹ Cuckmere Haven
The cliffside by the sea where the protagonists of the movie 'Atonement' walked and the little house they dreamed of living in is here, a must-visit for movie fans!
