#roadtrips Just finished an incredible road trip across Scotland, and honestly, it’s a must-do if you love wild landscapes and ancient history. We started in Edinburgh, exploring the famous Edinburgh Castle (entry was around £18), then hit the road towards the Highlands. The drive through Glencoe was unreal—towering mountains, misty valleys, and waterfalls at every turn. It felt like driving through a movie set. Our next stop was Loch Ness, hoping for a Nessie sighting (no luck, sadly!). Urquhart Castle, overlooking the loch, was definitely worth the visit (around £12 entry). From there, we ventured further north to Inverness, a lovely town with plenty of cozy cafés and scenic walks along the river. But the real highlight was the Isle of Skye. The Fairy Pools were like stepping into another world, and the views from the Old Man of Storr were unbeatable. Skye’s rugged beauty truly stole my heart. Scotland’s dramatic landscapes, rich history, and friendly locals made this road trip unforgettable. The weather becomes more unstable the further north we get to the north, and it can easily rain while walking Because I didn't do my homework, the jacket and shoes I wore didn't fit, I cried out while hiking 🥹🥹🥹🥹 For highland tours, be sure to wear hiking shoes, preferably with good waterproofing. Wear waterproof jackets, and pay attention to keeping warm. The average temperature in Scotland is lower than London, plus the highlands are mountainous and close to the sea, and easy to fall into the sea. However, going to Scotland is super recommended to join the tour, as many attractions are mountain roads, the weather is sometimes good and sometimes bad, I bought in Hong Kong 3 stations Internet heavy often can not receive, self-drive tour really have to be careful. Located at the north-east of Scotland, 121 miles from Edinburgh, lies 2 spectacular landmarks - Cullen Viaduct in Cullen and Bow Fiddle Rock in Portknockie. Cullen Viaduct consisted of several arches that looks like it’s from the Harry Potter movie (but it isn’t). It was used to be a viaduct for the Great North of Scotland Railway which was closed on 1968. As for the Bow Fiddle Rock, it’s a natural sea arch that resembled the tip of a fiddle bow. It’s a popular tourist attraction and also a nesting place for sea birds! #celebratewithtrip These are my *MUST SEE* spots in the Scottish highlands Starting with the three sisters of Glencoe: The view alone is absolutely worth going there! We walked trough the area for over 3 hours and it was the most amazing thing! Fort William: It’s very close to the three sisters, so it definitely makes sense to go there afterwards. We stopped there for a little snack and coffee break and we discovered a great little café called the wildcat. Definitely a must go to cafe!! The Isle of Sky: You should consider checking out this island for at least 2-3 days! There are so many great mountains to climb and the view from up there can’t be described in words!! Isle of Arran: Very small Island, but so worth it!! I’ll definitely come back there!! Loch Ness and Inverness: Inverness is a must Stop for all Outlander Fans! and for all mystery fans - check out if you can spot Nessi! We went there by bus, but I’d definitely recommend renting a car for this whole trip, because you can see a lot more and are free to stop when- and wherever you want! bonus tip: stop at the Harry Potter bridge and watch the train pass by! #mountainview #mytripvlog #breathtaking

#passionpassport visited Scotland in the autumn and I was really so impressed by the views offered by the country. the natural landscape and all is just so pretty it felt like I was at the background of my computer screen. the mountains were all really nice and hiking can be a little tedious here if you are not physically fit but still no issues if you can persevere on and take your time to hike up. the view is worth it. especially artur’s seat. i loved the view from up there. would recommend going in groups to hike as you can look out for one another and transport wise renting a car with a few drivers would be easier and more convenient.

Scotland is a really beautiful city and there’s a lot of mountains that you can climb or hike. it is more recommended to go with friends instead of elders as the hike may be a little challenging for some of them especially when it could be slippery. the view is really nice and perfect and it’s recommended to drive to the various places to hike. As we walked around the street after lunch, we stopped into a store to buy some winter clothes. This is a great place to get winter clothes as the higher you go, the colder it gets. Address - A830 Rd, Glenfinnan PH37 4LT, United Kingdom Highlights - Railway viaduct. Used for several Harry Potter movies. Scenic spot. Rating - 5/5 Woooo. One of the lovely place for Harry Potter fans to visit! So this scenic spot is where Harry Potter movies are being filmed to head to Hogwarts! I would recommend if you are heading there, two things to note: 1. Do check on the train timing as I heard that it will only pass by twice in a day (1 in Morning, another in Afternoon) if you would like to capture the moment. 2. Do estimated around 30 - 40 minutes time as you may want to capture some pictures while hiking and there might be a wait as the train does a pit stop at Glenfinnan station! You may want to drive there with friends but parking needs to be paid.
