|Amanemu, Ise-Shima National Park. I stayed at Amanemu, one of the three Aman hotels in Japan, for 3 nights during a business trip to Japan. I had a relaxing and leisurely time. 🏠About Amanemu Amanemu is located in Mie Prefecture, south of Nagoya. Designed by Kerry Hill Architects, the hotel consists of several dark charcoal wooden pavilion-style buildings with roofs made of Japanese-style tiles. In contrast to the midnight tones of the exterior, the interior is a combination of the lightest Japanese wood, neutral gray plaster surfaces, and natural stone. 🚕Transportation There are many options for getting here. For public transportation, you can take the Shinkansen to Nagoya, then transfer to the Kintetsu Limited Express train. It takes about 2 hours from Nagoya to Kashikojima Station in Ise-Shima National Park. Amanemu offers free shuttle service between the station and the resort. However, please note that the Kintetsu Limited Express train does not run frequently, so you need to plan your train connections carefully. You can also take a private car, which takes about 3 hours from Kyoto. Another option is to take the Aman helicopter service, which takes only 25 minutes from Chubu Centrair International Airport to the resort. 🛏Room Types Amanemu has two main types of rooms: 99 sqm one-bedroom suites and 366 sqm two-bedroom villas. Situated right on the coastline, the resort makes the most of the breathtaking scenery in the area. I had the opportunity to gaze at the beautiful blue sea and enjoy the serene atmosphere, creating a tranquil and rejuvenating ambiance. Furthermore, the staff service at Shima Span Village is commendable. They are incredibly attentive, friendly, and always willing to assist guests. I received dedicated care throughout my stay, from the check-in process to any requests or inquiries I had during my time there. The accommodations at Shima Span Village were comfortable and well-maintained. The rooms were spacious, clean, and provided all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. Additionally, the resort offers a variety of recreational facilities and activities, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy. While my overall experience was highly positive, there were a few areas that could be improved. The dining options at the resort were decent, but I felt that there could have been more variety and creativity in the menu choices. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection in certain areas of the resort was inconsistent, which was a minor inconvenience. #thingstodo I liked the amusement park, it is quite complete and entertaining. What I didn't like is that for being set in Spain it leaves a lot to be desired, for example there could be more restaurants with Spanish food and there aren't any, only one paella restaurant that was closed longer than it was open. Then in the souvenir shops there were also more items from other places than non-Spanish ones and the attractions could also have a theme that had more to do with Spain. In terms of entertainment an 8/10 but in terms of theme 6/10. It represents my country very little. It's still worth visiting, even just once.
