Beamish is a local legend. This museum is unlike any other. The houses have real people sharing stories and facts about what life was like in major historical periods. the museum is always changing and there are always events on. we visited when the car show was on, with some old cars and some modern ones on display too. What's even better than a good day out? Being able to return all year for the price of a day ticket.

We had an awesome long weekend in Glencoe with Joe and his team. From the moment we were picked up and taken to camp, we felt welcomed with drinks and a chat about how the weekend would unfold. Managing a group of 14 women wasn’t easy, but Joe kept us motivated with activities like sunrise yoga, hiking, sauna and cold dips, and kayaking. The team fostered a wonderful atmosphere, and the food was perfect with plenty to go around. The location was excellent, and Joe’s deep knowledge of the area was refreshing. His passion for his work truly stood out. I would highly recommend his service and even plan to explore more adventurous options with him abroad in the future.

Just returned from a 4-day Scottish adventure in Glencoe. The trip featured stand-up paddleboarding, sea kayaking in crystal-clear waters around remote islands with white sandy beaches, hiking a section of the West Highland Way, and canyoneering, among other activities. I must say, the experience with Alexander's Adventures was absolutely fantastic. Everything was meticulously planned and organized to ensure the best possible experience. The attention to detail was evident and very much appreciated—it was clear how much effort the team put into ensuring our comfort and enjoyment. Joe, Jem, and Emma took great care of us and did so effortlessly, all while maintaining a great sense of humor and a positive "can do" attitude. The activities were outstanding, catering to people of all skill levels, ensuring everyone could fully enjoy each experience. None of us had a single complaint. The hospitality was excellent, with delicious, healthy homemade food and plenty of snacks and fruit available. Joe and the team made sure nothing was ever a problem, putting all of us at ease throughout the trip. Initially, I felt apprehensive before going, creating excuses and worrying about commitments back home. However, it quickly became apparent that this trip was exactly what I and others in the group needed. We'll be riding this wave of enjoyment for a long time to come.
