I am so lucky and grateful to have the chance to stay at Vancouver for 10 days during my time here in Canada. In these 10 days, my cousin took me to different places, and here I’ll share some of my favorite spots in Vancouver. 🏞️Stanley Park Stanley Park is really one of the most beautiful parks in Vancouver. There are many beautiful creatures like little ducks residing there. If you keep walking, you will reach the ocean and have a nice sunset view. I see many people jogging and biking there. You can really feel the liveliness from this place. 📍Vancouver, BC V6G 1Z4, Canada 🌃Vancouver Downtown At the downtown, you can see the age old steamed clock. My favorite restaurant there is The Old Spaghetti Factory🍝The price is reasonable and not pricy in the central part of Vancouver where everything is somewhat a little bit more expensive. 🏮China Town🪭 Vancouver is a city with Asian immigrants, so in China Town, you can see a lot of historical Chinese buildings and get the taste of the eastern aesthetic. 🚉Vancouver Sky Train Vancouver Sky Train is an affordable way to move around in the city. I like the design of it and on the Sky Train you can see many different views of Vancouver. 🐠Steveston Fisherman’s Wharf, Richmond🐟 This is a place where you can enjoy the breeze of the sea from the Pacific Ocean. At around 4p.m. in winter time, the sunset is beautiful to witness here🌅Also, you should definitely have the classy fish and chips here. The fish is fresh and crispy, and it’s nice to eat it with the costal view and sunset. 📍3800 Bayview St, Richmond, BC V7E 6K7, Canada 🌊Rocky Point Park You have to go to Rocky Point Ice Cream🍦if you visit here. See how the dog wants the ice cream so bad? Don’t worry, they even make ice cream for dogs to eat!🐾At the park, you can walk along the coast but also enjoy walking in the forest. It’s a nice and relaxing place to go to. 📍2800 Murray St, Port Moody, BC V3H 1X2, Canada 🌲Kushiro Park, Burnaby This park is named after the sister city Kushiro in Japan, so when you visit there, you can see some traditional wood carving statue of Japan. The forest is very beautiful with gigantic trees for you to enjoy and relax. The weather there is cozy, not too hot and not too cold, so you can have a relaxing walk there. 📍464 Centennial Way, Burnaby, BC V5A 1G9, Canada Vancouver is really one of the most cozy places to live in the world. The temperature and the humidity is both at the right spot. The city is mixed with modernness and nature, so you still can feel relaxed in this big city. I hope you have fun in these places I share with you. I always love nature and Vancouver has mountains, forest, and nature🥰so I really love this place a lot. #nature #naturelover #naturelover #familytrip #deliciousfood #vancouvertravel #britishcolumbia #canada #canadatravel #canadatrip

❄️ Vancouver · Greater Vancouver Travel, just in time for a warm winter, comfortable to the touch, but the Ministry of Environment warns that the weather will change from sunny to cold and snowy. 🚶‍♀️Go to the niche Blackie Spit during the Spring Festival to see the mountains and sea, only to see 👀 the morning sun shining on the snow by the sea, a little surprise 🤩 It turns out that there is snow falling quietly by the sea at night, melting in the warm sun, and leaving snow on the shady side. ❄️The snow is affectionate and the grass and trees are bright, ❄️The north wind cherishes the lightness. ~~~~~~~ ❄️The coast plows the snow, ❄️The creek sand fishing sunset 🧧Snake Year Spring Festival, where did it snow?

🏖️ Vancouver is a coastal city, and the sea is the soul of the city. There are too many famous sea-related attractions: Stanley Park, Horseshoe Bay Park, White Rock, Canada Place, Vancouver Harbour Seaplane Base, Lions Gate Bridge ……… 🏖️ On this trip to Vancouver, I discovered a lesser-known beach in Surrey: Crescent Beach, a popular summer vacation spot for locals. ⛺️ It's especially suitable for camping, walking kids, walking dogs, and sunbathing 😎 ⛪️ There are churches, restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, B&Bs, and open-air free foot showers by the beach…… ⏳ Recommended visiting time: 😎 One hour, with proper sun protection 🚙 Suitable for self-driving ✅ Free to visit

Goodbye Summer see you next year hope you will bless us with more sunny days and warm evenings next time you come !!! We’ve literally just had our last drink outside. As it’s 31st of August and weather doesn’t look anything but Autumn now it was perfect time to say goodbye to our very much loved patio. There’s new addition the the lights there which are solar lights gifted to me recently from @whousewe and they make the actual decking so much brighter. Swipe to next photos to see how do they look lit up on their own I personally think they do give pretty cool effect on it’s own too. #myperiodhomestyle #interior_and_living #patio #patiodesign #patiodecor #patioideas #apartmenttherapy #ukhomeinspoaccounts #ukhome #walltowallstyle #solebich #sodomino #dominomag #myhshome #mygorgeousgaff #myinteriorvibe #lovetohme #vtwonen #elledecor #interiormilk #atmine #styleathome #instahome #bhghome #doerupper #myconsideredhome #homebook #howihome #sorealhomes #myhomesense

#Nagar Kirtan Yesterday went to Sikhs biggest festival of the year, almost thought it was secretly going to India... In the Indian community of Vancouver, thousands of people wore traditional The Punjabi costumes are surrounded by floats. There are different stalls along the street, offering a wide range of free food, from traditional Indian street food Pani Puri balls, crispy fried dumplings, spicy curry to milk tea with nuts. Smooth ice cream, anyone can enjoy it!

2026 ART 🎨 TOUR 🚗 Instead of heading to a museum or gallery, what's it like to step into a neighborhood artist's studio during an open weekend? 🧑‍🎨 Ding-dong! The door opens to reveal an older white woman, a freelance painter. This is her home and her creative studio. 🎊 On the weekend, her home transforms into a gallery. From the entrance ➡️ living room ➡️ kitchen ➡️ backyard, it's filled with paintings. The subjects range from landscapes and flowers to still lifes, speedboats 🛥️, and small planes 🛩️. Overall, the style has a distinct Vancouver city or island life vibe. 🖼️ Most of her works use acrylic paint, which has a plastic-like texture. To me, the brushstrokes felt a bit thin 🤭. I asked why she doesn't use oil paints. She replied: "Acrylics dry fast. For an artist, once it's painted, it can be sold 💰. Oil paints dry slowly, so you can't rush to sell them..." I agree. 👀 Exploring an artist's studio and interacting face-to-face with the painter 🆚 is a feeling you just can't get from viewing an exhibition in a museum. 🎨 I went to the artist's studio in the afternoon and saw two other visitors. For a professional yet niche art tour like the 2026 South Rock Art Tour, the attendees are usually art enthusiasts~~ 📅 Exhibition dates: September 19 and 20 (Saturday and Sunday) 🕐 Opening hours: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM ✅ Free

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in Canada! My stay at Homewood Suites by Hilton in Surrey, BC was absolutely wonderful. From the affordable price and excellent amenities to the warm hospitality and outstanding customer service, everything exceeded my expectations. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, and the complimentary breakfast was a great addition with a good variety of options. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful, which made the entire stay even more enjoyable. For the quality, comfort, amenities, hospitality, and overall value, I would definitely recommend Homewood Suites by Hilton Surrey to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable stay in the area. A truly five-star experience! Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

White Rock is right on the Canada-US border, just a few minutes' drive from Washington State, making it the perfect backyard getaway for Vancouverites🏖️ This hidden gem of a seaside resort town is a local favorite. Three iconic photo spots you can't miss📸** ✨ **White Rock Pier** Approximately 480 meters long, it's one of the longest wooden piers in Canada! It stretches from the beach right into the ocean, and the sunset views are breathtaking🌅 You can even watch locals crabbing at the end of the pier—it's full of local charm~ ✨ **White Rock** A granite boulder deposited during the Ice Age, weighing about 486 tons! It's white because it's covered in seabird droppings year-round, and the city regularly repaints it. The town is named after this rock🗿 A must-visit photo spot! ✨ **Coastal Railway Crossing** A freight railway line running along the coast, complete with signal lights and ocean views. It's basically the little Kamakura of Canada🚃 Every shot looks like a scene from a Japanese movie—it's amazing! · *2. A quick stop on the way: Peace Arch Park🕊️** It's just a few minutes' drive from White Rock to Peace Arch Park on the Canada-US border, home to the Douglas Border Crossing. It's the legendary spot where you can step across two countries! The park is free to enter, and many people come specifically to take photos of the arch and the border line—it's a great experience🇨🇦🇺🇸 · *3. Transportation and travel tips🚗** 📍 Address: White Rock is located on the BC-US border. It's about a 45-minute drive from Vancouver via Highway 99 South 🅿️ Parking: Paid parking meters are available along Marine Drive, and you can pay using the PayByPhone app. Parking is discounted or free during certain times in winter (November to February) ⏰ Best time to visit: Fall (September to November) is the best time to visit White Rock! The rocks can be slippery, so remember to wear non-slip shoes · *4. Where to eat, all sorted for you🍦** 🍨 Maya's Ice Cream: A popular ice cream shop across from the pier. Their chocolate, pistachio, and salted caramel flavors are highly rated 🐟 Moby Dick Restaurant: A classic seafood restaurant that opened in 1975. Who would have thought! You enter from the Canadian side and exit on the US side without needing a visa😭 🏛️ Peace Arch: a symbol of friendship on the border Peace Arch Park spans British Columbia, Canada, and Washington State, USA. At the center of the park stands the famous white Peace Arch. The arch is inscribed with two phrases: “May these gates never be closed” and “Brethren dwelling together in unity.” The most amazing part is that within the park, visitors can freely cross between the two countries without a passport or visa! The lawn even features the Canadian and US flags made from flowers. ⚠️ Warning! Don’t “enter” the US this way The key rule: you can freely walk within the park, but that doesn’t mean you can enter the US! You can go in, but you cannot exit from the US side of the park. In other words, if you enter from the Canadian side, you must exit from the Canadian side. Leaving from the US side into the community is considered illegal border crossing and may lead to an investigation by border enforcement. To enter the US properly, you must go through the nearby Peace Arch (Douglas) border checkpoint. 📸 How to get there & what to do · Location: at the border between Surrey, BC, Canada, and Blaine, Washington, USA, where Highway 99 meets Interstate 5 · Transportation: driving is recommended. Navigate to “Peace Arch Provincial Park.” The parking lot is on the Canadian side · Admission: free, open all day Photo tips: 1. Take a photo right under the Peace Arch, standing with one foot in each country 2. See the Canadian and US flags made from flowers on the lawn 3. Take the classic photo at the border marker, standing in both countries at once 4. Bring a picnic blanket to relax on the lawn, soak up the sun, and enjoy the view 💡 Solo female traveler tips · Always bring valid ID! Although there’s no check inside the park, the border checkpoint is right next door. Getting stopped by mistake can be troublesome · Remember to exit from the same side you entered; don’t get mixed up · Visit on weekdays for fewer crowds, better photos, and a more peaceful experience · Set your navigation to the Canadian side parking lot in advance to avoid accidentally entering the US border lane, which is difficult to turn around from Closing No visa needed, no customs to pass. Stand under the white Peace Arch with your left foot in Canada and your right foot in the US. That’s the true meaning of the Peace Arch✨

Train ride through Surrey. Pleasant with aircon on the SWR train!

Best day trip from London 🥰 a beautiful hike in Surrey with actual views!! 👇🏻HOW TO GET THERE: 🚊 by train: Box Hill & Westhumble (direct trains from London Waterloo) about 48 mins 🚗 by car: I parked at Box Hill East car park ⏳ took us 2.30 hours 💰 free 📈 elevation gain: 270 meters approx 🗺️ I followed the trail on @alltrails 📍Box Hill, Surrey #londondaytrip #thingstodolondon #hike #surrey #boxhill#easytravelpost

#footballlandmarks Just back from Surrey and totally recommend the Best Western Peace Arch Inn if you want cozy vibes, friendly staff, and a super-convenient location! 😎🌳 Top Spots to Stay: Best Western Peace Arch Inn 📍2293 King George Blvd Why I loved it: The front desk team is *seriously* welcoming — you’ll feel right at home. Rooms are spotless (no sketchy vibes here!) and the breakfast is legit plentiful. If you're into early starts, the buffet won’t disappoint. My tip? Ask for a quiet room if you're sensitive to noise, since some guests mentioned being bothered by sounds from the hall or pool area. Want to bring your furry friend? Double check the pet policy with the hotel first — pet-friendliness is hit-and-miss depending on staff and room readiness. For light sleepers, toss in an extra hoodie; some rooms run cold. Overall, the staff are always helpful, and the cleanliness is a huge plus. Getting Around Surrey: The hotel is close to the main routes, so catching transit, rideshare, or walking to nearby shops/cafes is easy. Surrey’s transit is good for getting around without a car, but rideshares are fastest for day trips. Pro tips: · Grab a breakfast bite early for best selection! · For late-night cravings, check nearby convenience stores on King George Blvd. · If you want pool time, stick to midday to avoid the crowd and noise. #surreystay #canadatravel #hoteltips #peacearchinn

Last week, I went to Vancouver to pick up some family elders (flights between China and Seattle are still quite limited). On the way, I saw the so-called "largest Canadian flag" that reportedly cost a fortune. Both trips involved crossing the border at Peace Arch. One noticeable change was the temporary barriers placed at the U.S.-Canada boundary marker, with CBP and CSBA officers patrolling regularly. Unlike before, you can no longer casually cross between the two sides. The next morning, when returning to the U.S., I initially expected to go through secondary inspection to process the I-94. The usual procedure involves getting out of the car, lining up, answering a few interview questions, taking photos and fingerprints, and paying the fee (which has increased from $6 to $30). Depending on the crowd, I’ve waited as long as three hours before, assuming I had a valid EVUS. However, this time, the process was much smoother. At the entry point, CBP officers checked our documents while we remained in the car. They pulled up all the necessary information in their system and chatted briefly with everyone in the car. Interestingly, the CBP officer switched seamlessly between English and Chinese, allowing my family elders to answer questions on their own. Then, the officer took out a camera and snapped photos directly from the car. I was surprised since photos were usually taken inside the inspection hall. Although we were still given a slip to proceed to secondary inspection, the CBP officer instructed us to park but remain in the car. She took our slip, entered some information into the computer, confirmed a few more details, and then brought out a POS machine to collect the $30 fee. The entire process took less than 10 minutes! This was a huge time saver compared to the usual procedure. That said, I noticed that some vehicles were still being directed to the inspection hall for further checks. From this experience, it seems the I-94 process has been significantly streamlined, making it much more convenient. Hopefully, CBP continues to optimize the process in this direction.

Went to Central City Fun Park in Surrey on Sunday! It was honestly a bit surprising. First of all, it's very large and new inside, with a super rich variety of games⬇️ Besides all kinds of arcade games, there are go-karts, mini bowling, billiards 🎱, 3D pinball, claw machines, mini golf ⛳️, a roller skating rink, and a carousel 🎠 (and the spaces aren’t small at all). They even have those night market-style ring toss and ball toss games. As a 90s kid, it really brought back some nostalgia~ Also, a key highlight‼️ Next to the mini golf, down the hallway, there’s a great Photo Bomb area 📸 with 5-6 different themed setups. Some are in small rooms, others in open spaces, and every shot turns out great~ There are also a few photo sticker booths (perfect for snapping tons of pics with friends, partners, or family). Definitely worth checking out. 💰 Regarding top-ups: No need to buy tokens. You can find ATM-like machines scattered around where you can self-recharge. The more you add, the more bonus credits you get (prices are reasonable; the two of us topped up over 💰50, which was enough for a big round and we still didn’t use it all 🤔). You can save the balance for next time. 🥇 Prizes: Like any arcade, some games reward tickets that can be exchanged for small gifts 🎁 (snacks, little toys, plushies, stationery, etc. I didn’t find anything I really liked though). Perfect for hanging out with friends or bringing kids for a whole day of fun. A great indoor spot that’s emotionally fulfilling 🈵✨

I recently visited Surrey Hills National Landscape, and it was an unforgettable experience. Known for its rolling hills, ancient woodlands, and breathtaking countryside views, this place is a true paradise for nature lovers. The peaceful walking trails, fresh air, and stunning landscapes made it the perfect escape from the busy city. Along the way, I enjoyed panoramic viewpoints, lush green forests, and beautiful open fields where wildlife and grazing horses added to the charm. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing walk, a hiking adventure, or simply a place to reconnect with nature, Surrey Hills National Landscape is well worth a visit. 💡Travel Tips: · Wear comfortable walking or hiking shoes. · Bring plenty of water and light snacks. · Check the weather forecast before your trip. · Carry a camera—the scenery is perfect for photography. · Stay on marked trails and help keep the area clean by taking your litter home. #SurreyHills #ExploreSurrey #ExploreUK #VisitEngland #NatureLover #Hiking #Countryside #ScenicViews #OutdoorAdventure #TravelPhotography #WeekendGetaway #NatureEscape #Wanderlust #TravelDiary

Hi everyone! I recently took a trip down to White Rock and ended the day at the iconic Peace Arch Park, right on the border between Canada and the U.S. I wanted to share my experience because it’s such a unique spot—perfect if you're looking for a relaxing day out with plenty of walking. The weather was a bit chilly with a damp sea breeze (standard Vancouver weather—always bring a good jacket!). I started at White Rock Pier, which is massive and offers stunning ocean views. There were a few people out and about, but it felt very peaceful. Pro tip if you're traveling with pets: dogs aren't allowed on the actual pier, but the promenade along the beach is very dog-friendly, so they can enjoy the walk there. Next, we headed to Peace Arch Park. It’s surprisingly laid-back for an international border. It’s a bit surreal but fun to stand with one foot in Canada and the other in the U.S. right on the grass markings. The park itself is beautiful, lush, and well-maintained. It’s also a great place to walk your dog (on a leash, of course). It wasn't crowded when we visited, so we had plenty of time to take photos by the big white arch inscribed with "Children of a Common Mother." A quick tip for my fellow Mexicans: make sure your documents are in order before heading to the border. If you already have a valid U.S. visa, getting a Canadian eTA is much faster and easier, which makes planning these little getaways a breeze. Overall, it was a lovely, low-key way to spend the afternoon, get some fresh air, and experience a bit of history between the two countries. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth the visit!
