#localescapes The very first photo is my hometown, Bangad Tinglayan Kalinga. Kalinga is a province in the Philippines situated within the Cordillera Administrative Region in Luzon. Apo Whang od, the famous oldest indigenous tattoo artist in the Philippines, resides in Tinglayan. If you want to get a tattoo from her, you can go to Buscalan. You can also see the Chico river where you can enjoy water rafting. The rest of the photos are the view from a small park/resort on top of a mountain near Lubuagan. It was under reconstruction when we went there. There's more to explore in our remote municipality. Hope you get to experience our culture.

This cafe is the best cafe I've ever been to in Kalinga, no cap! Their milktea and shake don't have the regular taste that I'd had before in our place. We had their blended drinks and specials (their best sellers)- blueberry cheesecake, strawberry milk, double choco frappe, and I forgot the other two. We also had fries, burger and egg waffles. I don't usually get burgers, but theirs was out of this world- very tasty. This cafe is a bit pricey compared to other cafes in Tabuk, but it's worth it. And the place is cozy. Kyudi Cafe is one of the best cafes in Kalinga. It is located at the back of Landbank, Paul and Hannah Bldg., Molintas St., Purok 4, Bulanao, Tabuk City. I went here last summer, and I loved their fresh fruit shake! I l loved their snacks too. They also offer boba. I didn't know this is so close to our house 😫 In 2024, I want to explore more cafes in Kalinga. I'm sure there's a lot that I don't know yet. #2024wish

#localescapes Boodle Season Seafood Restaurant is the only seafood resto I know here in Tabuk. The food was sooo good when we first went in December last year, we had their family boodle for 1899 PHP. It is good for 6-7 people. It has rice, buttered crabs, buttered shrimps, bangus tapa, grilled squid, and sauteed mussels. The second time we tried their seafood was this summer. We had the "Seafood Ulam Bilao" for 1109 PHP and "Seafood buttered mix" for 599 PHP. Tho the crab wasn't cooked well, and there was no cutter. Imagine having to eat crabs with no cutter at all! Nah ah! But still, if you're in Kalinga and you love seafood, you should try this restaurant. Davidson Hotel and Restaurant I haven't tried to stay overnight at this hotel but their food is great. If you want to experience a fine dining in Kalinga, I would recommend this hotel. Ang cozy tignan ng kainan nila 😊 They have a small swimming pool at the back, kung gusto mong magpalamig din (ang init kaya sa Tabuk).
