Promenade du Peyrou, Montpellier 🇫🇷
#wheretogo
One of the oldest and most beautiful cities in South of France, Montpellier is a quaint town just 2 hours train ride away from Paris, France, and it definitely warrants a day trip escape!
One of Montpellier’s top attractions is the Promenade du Peyrou with its own Arc du Triomphe. Peyrou Avenue also promises its visitors panoramic views of the city and of the ancient arches of a Roman aqueduct.
Well worth a visit, you will not be disappointed!
Am not able to tag Montpellier, as I could not find the tag, but it’s located in the larger region of Occitania.
My rating: 4 ⭐️ out of 5!
Saint-Pierre Cathedral, Montpellier FR 🇫🇷
#wheretogo
When in Montpellier, France, do consider a visit to the Saint-Pierre Cathedral - the only medieval Church in Montpellier.
Formerly used as a fortress, this is a very interesting cathedral that is quite Gothic in its architectural interior, but not so on its exterior which looks somewhat right out of the Middle Ages. There are lovely stained glass panels inside the cathedral - beautiful!
My rating: 4 ⭐️ out of 5!

A Journey Through Art: Exploring the Louvre
#winhkflight
In the heart of Paris, where the Seine River meanders through the city like a silver ribbon, stands a palace of dreams – the Louvre. As I stepped through its grand entrance, I felt a sense of awe wash over me, knowing that I was about to embark on a journey through centuries of art and history.
Inside, the Louvre welcomed me with open arms, its halls and galleries beckoning like old friends waiting to be rediscovered. I began my exploration in the Grand Gallery, where the soft light filtered through the towering windows, casting a warm glow on the masterpieces that adorned the walls.
I marveled at the exquisite detail of Leonardo da Vinci's "Mona Lisa," her enigmatic smile drawing me in like a secret waiting to be revealed. Nearby, the graceful form of the Venus de Milo stood in silent splendor, her marble beauty a testament to the skill of the ancient sculptors.
As I wandered through the labyrinthine corridors of the Louvre, I discovered treasures at every turn – from the intricate tapestries of the Middle Ages to the shimmering gold of Egyptian artifacts. Each room held its own story, its own magic, waiting to be uncovered by those who dared to explore.
But it was not just the art that captivated me; it was the atmosphere of the Louvre itself – a place where past and present merged seamlessly, where the whispers of history echoed in every stone. In the tranquil courtyard, I paused to soak in the beauty of I.M. Pei's glass pyramid, a modern marvel that seemed to float ethereally above the ancient walls.
As the day drew to a close and the sun dipped below the horizon, I reluctantly bid farewell to the Louvre, knowing that I had only scratched the surface of its wonders. But as I walked away, I carried with me the memories of a journey through art – a journey that had touched my soul and left an indelible mark on my heart.
