Located by the Lake of Tunis, this restaurant offers a stunning lake view while you enjoy your meal. It's a popular spot among locals in Tunis. I was taken there by a local friend, and I was thoroughly satisfied. I ordered the Tunisian brunch set, while my friends opted for the continental brunch set. The Tunisian brunch set included one of my favorite Tunisian dishes, Ojja, which was served with traditional Tunisian bread called Mlewi. The combination was absolutely delicious. Ojja reminded me of a spicy Korean stew, and I even thought it would pair wonderfully with a bowl of rice. For drinks, we could choose between coffee and fresh fruit juice. I went with coffee and fresh strawberry juice, which was incredibly tasty. Tunisia is known for its delicious strawberry juice. Chatting with friends, enjoying the clear and serene view of Lake Tunis, and savoring delicious food made me feel truly happy. The weather in early October in Tunis is pleasantly cool, making the terrace seating perfect. After finishing our meal, we took a walk around the lake to aid digestion, which was both refreshing and uplifting. Unlike the bustling city center, this area is quiet and less crowded, making it an ideal spot. I had spicy chicken and vegetable quadretti. 🍝 ・Cafe de Delices A cafe with a panoramic ocean view in Sidi Bou Said. ☕️ I just had a soft drink and enjoyed the view. 🍹 ・Dar El Jeld Restaurant This restaurant is my absolute favorite! 🤩 The food was amazing while enjoying the Medina's night view. 😊 📌 Useful Tips There were a lot of rip-off taxis. Avoid taxis without a taxi sign on top, as they're rip-offs. For example, a ride from the airport to the old town costs less than 10 TND (about 3 EUR), so be wary of taxis that ask for more. After landing in Tunis, it didn't take long by bus to reach this legendary blue-and-white town. Honestly, the first glimpse was breathtaking. No filter needed! The entire town looks like someone tipped over a paint bucket but only used two colors: walls painted snow-white, and doors, windows, railings—even lampposts—all in that quintessential Mediterranean blue. The sunlight is unreal, shining so brightly that the blue gets bluer, the white gets whiter, against the backdrop of the deep blue sea in the distance. It feels like your eyes have been cleansed—so pure, so radiant. The town is built on a cliffside, with winding paths leading uphill. As you walk, you turn around and—wow—the sea unfolds beneath you, dazzlingly blue. No wonder so many artists and writers flock here. The scenery really makes you zone out, sparking all kinds of ideas.

The Medina of Tunis, located to the west of the Bab Al-Bahr gate, is incredibly atmospheric. The narrow, winding streets are packed with shops, cafes and restaurants - as well as mosques and historic buildings. It's touristy, but not crazily so - and still maintains that local feel. This is Sidi Bou Said, the Santorini of Tunis. The harmony of white and blue is really pretty. Of course, if you come expecting Santorini in Greece, it's a bit boring, but if you come thinking of it as a small and pretty beach town, it's fun to look around and it's also good for spending cafe time at a pretty cafe. Tunisia seems to be overlooked in favor for its more famous neighbor Morocco, nonetheless Tunisia and in particular it's capital Tunis is am enchanting city with both French and Arabic architecture blended together. Don't expect anything overtly fancy or developed in this city, in fact take it with more open eyes and see the beauty behind its more rough surface. A bit outside the city, you'll find the ruins of Carthage and bit further afield is the very picturesque village of Sidi Bou Said, which almost transports you to a village in Greece. Tunis is full of little hidden gems at prices that aren't at cut throat prices.

Sidi Bou Said is a small village in #tunisia , northern #africa which is all in white and blue. The law says that all the buildings should be in these and only these colours and this saves the authentical style of the place. It was really enjoyable even not big at all. I saw that its overall color is yellow-brown, in addition to the shrimp and fish mutton, a large, fried green pepper lying on the yellow, this green is the highlight of the whole dish. Green pepper is not spicy, the taste is the cooking method of oily oysters. I took a spoon and took a sip of Couscous. The wheat was stewed with turmeric, garlic and onion.
