Checking in at Vallejo’s Country Inn & Suites by Radisson is a smart move if you want full access to both Napa wine country and Bay Area fun 🚗🍷! The location puts you right by shopping centers, top local restaurants, and a ton of attractions. Clean rooms and friendly staff are definite highlights, but note the occasional hiccups like noise, minor cleaning lapses, or older furnishings — so bring earplugs and double-check your room when you arrive. Must-See Places in Vallejo: 1. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (1001 Fairgrounds Dr) — family thrill rides and animal encounters, just a quick drive from the hotel! 2. Napa wineries — head north for the best vineyard tours and tastings (try Domaine Carneros). 3. Mare Island Historic Park (8th St & Railroad Ave) — for unique naval history and waterfront views. 4. Downtown Vallejo — local eats and occasional live music. 5. Solano County Fairgrounds (900 Fairgrounds Dr) — perfect for seasonal events. Country Inn & Suites Address: 1000 Admiral Callaghan Ln. You’ll enjoy a hot tub, pool, and an included breakfast — just check for shower maintenance and request a quiet room away from busy hallways. Getting Around: Vallejo isn’t huge, so rideshare, local buses, and your own car are the best ways to bounce between attractions. Parking is easy at the hotel, but for Napa, reserve winery visits, and sober-driving is key! Food: Check out Olive Garden and Black Bear Diner nearby, or hit up Napoli Pizza for local flavor. Breakfast at the hotel is decent, but try brunch in downtown Vallejo for variety. Useful Tips: · Improve your experience: Bring slippers for old carpets, and earplugs for potential noise. · Weather: Mild year-round, but pack layers for breezy evenings. #VallejoTrip #NapaValley #CountryInnTips #WineCountry #BayAreaTravel

Lake Chabot in California is a super chill secret place in the San Francisco Bay Area. The reservoir was built in 1869. It was originally the main source of water supply for East Bay residents. Now it has transformed into a natural tourist destination! This lake is hidden in the redwood forest. The water is as clear as a mirror, reflecting the blue sky and green trees. A casual shot will create a wallpaper-level beauty. The air is so fresh that I can feel my lungs being cleansed just by walking by the lake. It’s so healing! It used to be a practical facility, but now it has become a paradise for fishing, boating and hiking. On weekends, you can see locals bringing their dogs for a walk. The atmosphere is super chill! Get the tour guide! Entering from Lake Chabot Regional Park, admission is free, but renting a boat or fishing gear will cost a little (starting from about $20). The lakeside trail is 9 miles long and takes 3-4 hours to walk at an easy pace. There are plenty of picnic spots along the way, so you can just bring a cup of coffee or a sandwich and relax for the whole day. Canoeing is very popular in the summer, and the view from the water is amazing. Winter is suitable for hiking and watching the foggy scenery. It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent, as the insects near the lake are a bit fierce. Want to take fairy photos? In the evening, the setting sun shines on the lake, which is definitely a killer IG scenery. It’s such a chill secret place, why don’t you come and breathe some oxygen? 📍 Address: 17600 Lake Chabot Rd, Castro Valley, CA 94546, USA 🕰️ Opening hours: 06:00-19:00 daily (seasonal adjustments, it is recommended to check the official website)
