Surrounded by mountains on three sides and shimmering water on one, the mountain gate stands tall with an intricately crafted hanging flower gate. The golden plaque with nine dragons on the gate glows dimly under the sunlight. Passing through the three-arched mountain gate, lotus flowers bloom perfectly beneath the jade belt bridge. In the distance, a tall pavilion stands halfway up the mountain—that is the Jade Buddha Pavilion. The Jade Buddha Pavilion is 33 meters tall, named after the Buddhist concept of the “33 heavens.” It features a double-eaved, xieshan-style roof with eaves on eaves, covered in red glazed tiles. Stepping over the threshold and looking up, you see the caisson ceiling—adorned with a nine-dragon pearl design covered in 24K gold leaf, shining brilliantly under the lights.
