In the morning, visit Dajingmen, one of the four major passes of the Great Wall. Climb the wall and enjoy the mountain breeze while overlooking the city. The four large characters for “great rivers and mountains” are especially imposing. The soft morning light makes for great photos. After a slow stroll, head to the nearby fortress, a 600-year-old Ming and Qing dynasty border town. Since we just wanted to relax and had already done these activities in Zhangbei last year, we didn't try any of them, just took a few photos. Ulanhada Volcano: Enter from the South Visitor Center, and visit volcanoes 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, and 3 in sequence. Having done our research, we only visited volcanoes 6, 5, and 3. Volcano 6 is where the astronaut photos were taken; this volcano looks most like a stereotypical volcano. Volcano 5 is very high; we didn't go up, just took some photos from below. We climbed halfway up Volcano No. 3. There's a boardwalk, but the wind was too strong, so we only went halfway. Laolihai: A popular spot featured in the movie "Goodbye My Love." It's not particularly scenic, but the sunset is absolutely stunning. I highly recommend everyone go see the sunset there! The sunset clouds were absolutely stunning! Oppa Grilled Chicken Wings: A barbecue restaurant. I don't recommend the grilled sweet potato skin; it was terrible. I also didn't like the grilled milk. Everything else was okay. Yipinxuan Ice-Cooked Lamb Hot Pot: A hot pot restaurant near the Ulanhada Volcano. The lamb was good. Average price: 90 RMB per person. 🌟Hohhot - One Day & One Night Five Pagoda Temple: Free admission, right next to the hotel. I went for a look, but I still prefer the grasslands. Xilituzhao Temple: 25 RMB per person entrance fee. To be honest, personally, I didn't find it as beautiful as the natural scenery, so I won't comment further.
