Even at noon, the walkway by Xingqing Palace Lake was only 27 degrees. The small fan I carried stayed in my backpack the whole time, never taken out. It was much more pleasant than squeezing into crowded popular tourist spots or busy shopping areas. Two people spent 1,080 yuan for 3 days. Before leaving, I stuffed two big bags of handmade pomegranate soft candy from the old lady at Sajinqiao into my backpack. Navigate to either "Zhongnan Mountain Village" or "Zhashui Canyon Rafting," and it's another ten minutes or so after exiting at Yingpan. As soon as we got out of the car, the mountain breeze was damp, and the perceived temperature dropped to around 22°C. One of my companions immediately put away her fan: "This trip was worth it!" First, let's clarify: How many "Qinling Canyons" are there? It's easy to get confused: The one at Guanghuo Street in Ningshan is called "Qinling Canyon Rafting" (approximately 7 kilometers long with a maximum drop of 150 meters, known as the "Number One Rafting in the Mountains"); the one in Yingpan Town, Zhashui, is Zhashui Canyon Rafting + Zhongnan Mountain Village Canyon Sports Park. They have different entrances, so don't get mixed up. This time we explored the Zhashui side, combining rafting, ancient village visits, and family-friendly waterskiing in one trip. The boatman poles the boat, the bottom brushing against lotus leaves, splashing water with a grassy scent. The afternoon sun is strong, but the breeze over the water is much cooler than on land.
