Salt Cathedral in Colombia!

Stunning cathedral deep inside a mine!
Name of place🔖: Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira
City: Bogota, Colombia 🇨🇴
What’s special ✨: the entrance of this cathedral is actually on a hill so you need to take a taxi or bus to get there. When you arrive, there’s a tour guide to give you background information about the mine, why there is a church inside (basically there are too many accidents inside mines in general so people want God’s presence in the mine with the miners - Colombia is a Catholic country).
The scale, architecture and decoration of the cathedral inside are eye-opening. It can blow people away and there are definitely many instagram photo spots!

Catedral de Sal in Zipaquira | Colombia 🇨🇴
La Catedral de Sal is probably the most famous and visited place in the city of Zipaquira. The location is quite convenient as it is in the hearth of the city's down town. The whole visit, including walking around and taking pictures should last between 2 to 3 hours. The salt cathedral of Zipaquirá, built in the depths of the largest salt rock reserve in the world, is a mystical place where the pre-Columbian Muisca culture, the environment, and religious heritage are mixed together. Make sure you bring comfortable shoes and some water, this site requires long walking around. In case of getting exhausted is possible to find many places to sit down inside. This place gets very crowded over the weekends so if you have the chance to go during weekdays you will avoid big groups.

Take the cable car to the Montserrat mountain - Monserrat view, is one of the special recommendations in Bogota, Colombia.
is the commanding height of the whole Bogota. You can choose to walk on foot, about 40 minutes in one way, or take the cable car, and it will take five minutes.
There is still a pilgrimage center for local believers. The road to the mountain is also known as the Cross Road, along with stories depicting the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.
The white monastery on the top of the mountain can be seen in almost any corner of Bogota. And because of its unique location, it is the best view point overlooking Bogota.
At the top of the mountain, you can not only visit the top-level churches that have seen miracles in the legend, but also the entire Bogota.
Standing on the hill overlooking the city, I feel my own smallness. There is a statue of Christ in the church. There are many miracles in the legend.
