Stumbled upon this spot near my hotel. The rice and beans really stood out—had that proper homemade texture, you know? Big portions for the price, no complaints there.

Popped in with mates for a catch-up. Debbie was so lovely, really made us feel welcome with her smile. The Jamrock punch was spot on, and that slow-cooked beef with the coconut rice? So good. Just a nice, easy place for a group.

The set lunch is a solid deal. The crispy whitebait starter was a nice little bite. The dining room itself is really pleasant – high ceilings, lots of light, and the chairs are actually comfortable for a longer sit.

Two of us were starving, so we got the whole works - starters, mains, dessert, drinks. The bill came to about £50. Honestly, for how much we ate, that felt pretty decent.

As an away fan, the staff wearing local team shirts was a nice touch. The food was authentic, but the portions felt a bit small for the price.

Came here with a group of friends last Friday. The lamb shashlik was so good, really tender and that jalfrezi sauce had a proper kick to it. Perfect for sharing and chatting over. Service was spot on, never had to wait long for anything.

I really appreciated that they finished the main dish at the table. It let me see how fresh the ingredients were. The menu has a lot of vegetable options, which is great for me. My plate was colourful and everything tasted very garden-fresh.

We had a really relaxed dinner here. Spent over two hours chatting and eating, and they never made us feel rushed at all. Nice to just take your time.

Shared the loaded nachos and the scouse. Both were spot on. Staff were really nice about it, even split the scouse into two bowls for us without us asking. Made sharing a breeze.

The Deadwood Monster burger was cooked just right, juicy and full of flavour. The dirty fries were a solid choice too.

The staff really knew their stuff. Had a few questions about the menu and they explained everything clearly, no fuss. Made us feel looked after from the start. A nice, relaxed welcome.

The Forge offers an incredible dining experience with fantastic food and attentive service. The Rib Eye Steak was cooked to perfection, making it one of the best steaks I've had in a long time!

Found this place by accident. Great for a quick lunch, the staff were really on it. Food came out fast, no fuss. Nice spot if you're in a rush.

Been here a few times with the lads. The BYOB is a real bonus for a big group, keeps the cost down. We usually get the banquet to share. It's decent, you get to try a fair bit. The place gets pretty lively on a Friday night, mind.

Great for a big group. The wine list had some nice options that went well with the grilled meats.

Honest staff told us to buy drinks elsewhere to save money.

The build-your-own breakfast is such a clever idea. I'm still thinking about the chilli aubergine, it was just incredible. Honestly, the best I've ever had.

We go to Red Dog Liverpool very often. I've never been dissapointed. Food is extremely delicious and big portions. The staff is always welcoming, friendly but professional at the same time.

The server we had was so lovely and helpful. She really knew her stuff about the menu and explained a few dishes to us, which was great for a first visit. Made choosing much easier!

Guinness poured just right, creamy head and all. Sat at the bar watching them do it. That first sip hit the spot after a long walk.

The small plates here are surprisingly generous. We got a few to share and honestly couldn't finish everything. Left feeling very full, which was a nice surprise.

Been coming for years. The recent renovation is a nice improvement, makes it a bit more comfortable.

Lovely, smiley owner who made us feel so welcome. The food was delicious from start to finish. We'll definitely be back.

The turnip cake with XO sauce was a standout. I really appreciated the quality of the ingredients; the turnip had a lovely, fresh texture that wasn't greasy at all. A very satisfying choice.

Decent spot for a quick bite. Food came out fast, which is what I needed. The place was clean, even the toilets. Good for a lunch break.

Always grab the chicken kebabs here, they're fantastic off the open grill. The wine list is decent, found a nice red that went really well with the smoky char.

The vegetarian sunday dinner and the beef sunday dinner were excellent.Bit disappointed there was no cauliflower cheese avaiable at 6.30 pm and the Ham&cheese pie apparently lacked flavour. Portions were generous, desserts excellent and staff excellent. A few tweaks and the star rating would be higher.

Came after their award win, so it was busy. Food still arrived quickly and tasted good. The Everest lager was a solid choice.
