Stopped in on a whim and ended up staying way longer than planned. The Guinness really was something else &mdash; proper creamy. Finger food hit the spot too, nothing fancy but done right. Traditional music night was a nice bonus, gave the place a proper buzz. Only downside was finding a seat, but that&rsquo;s on me for arriving late.

Tasting menu was solid. Scallops and venison were the standouts, no question. Plating looked great too. Staff knew their stuff when I asked what to pick. Only thing, it took a while between courses. Fine if you&#39;ve got time to kill, but I was cutting it close for the afternoon. Good spot for a proper lunch though.

Decent spot for breakfast. Eggs benedict had proper hollandaise, and the Wilmott sausages were pretty good&mdash;probably the best I&#39;ve had around here. Service was fine too, friendly enough. Only thing is it got a bit busy mid-morning, but that&#39;s on us for the timing.

The kung po chicken here is proper good&mdash;one of the best Asian dishes I&#39;ve found in Limerick. House fried rice was fresh too.

Just the right amount of spice without going overboard. I&#39;d say it&#39;s worth a stop if you&#39;re in the area and craving something decent.

The mixed grill platter was solid &mdash; meat juicy, rice with vermicelli done just right. Lamb kabsa was tender too. Portions are generous for what you pay.

Came for the buffet and honestly the variety was solid&mdash;sushi, pizza, Indian, Chinese, all in one place. I&rsquo;m picky about freshness and most of it held up well. The chef came out to explain one of the dishes, which I appreciated. Place was clean and roomy too. Only thing, it got a bit busy around noon.

The beef cheek stew was the standout. Properly tender, rich gravy, exactly what you want on a cold day. Portion size is decent for the price. Menu leans heavy on dairy though, so if you&#39;re avoiding that, options get thin pretty fast. Stick to the stew and you&#39;ll be grand.
