Doma Escalante offers an unforgettable dining experience with its exquisite food and attentive service. The ambiance is cozy and modern, making it perfect for a special occasion or a casual night out.

Nice wine pairing with the complimentary Catalana — friendly staff made the first meal in Costa Rica a solid start.

Stumbled into this cafe while killing time near the theater foyer. The apple pie with ice cream was the highlight—warm, not too sweet, and the coffee came out with this little theatrical presentation. Staff were friendly enough. Prices felt fair for the area. Wouldn't mind stopping by again if I'm in the neighborhood.

Seated right away on a busy Saturday, that never happens. Staff kept checking on us, food was solid. Music was fun but not too loud. Good spot in the neighborhood.

Buffet and dance show combo was a solid pick. Food was okay, nothing crazy, but the view from up top made it worth the stop. Good spot if you want dinner and a show without overthinking it.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Dim sum was solid, roast duck had that nice crispy skin. Portions are big, almost too big for one person honestly. Service was fast which I appreciated since I was in a hurry. Place gets busy around noon so come early if you want a table.

The owner Ricky was super welcoming, made the whole vibe feel personal. Rondón de Mariscos was fresh and tasty, though the rice and beans came out a bit dry. Arroz con Leche dessert hit the spot though.

The nachos here are seriously loaded—cheese, jalapeños, all the good stuff. Portion was big enough that I actually took some home. Prices felt fair for what you get. It's a solid local spot, nothing fancy, but the seating was comfortable and I didn't feel rushed. Would stop by again if I'm in the area.

The Tico chicken was the star—really flavorful and nicely plated. Beef dish looked a bit dull and small though. Still, the old lodge vibe made it a decent stop.

Ordered kosher meat and wine for delivery to Quepos. Owner kept in touch the whole time, no issues. Meat was good quality, exactly what we needed for the trip. Took a bit to arrange but worth it. Would use them again if we're back in the area.

The Henry Blend is seriously like nothing I’ve tried before 😍 so unique. Also grabbed their green smoothie to balance it out, worked really well together.

Came here for dinner last week. The vegan plate was actually really good, chef knows what they're doing. Place looks nice too, big windows. Service was fine, nothing to complain about. It's not cheap though, so don't come expecting a bargain. I'd go back if someone else is paying.

Nice spot with a real apothecary feel—hanging plants and live jazz set the mood. Cocktails were inventive, food fresh. Service did slow down once it got busy, but overall a decent evening.

Good ceviche and pisco sours. Portions were solid. Staff took time to walk us through the menu in Spanish. No complaints for the price.

The ceviche here is seriously good. I got the mixed one and the fish was super fresh, lime flavor just right. Menu is pretty simple but they do it well. Place is clean too. Wish I lived closer so I could come back more often.

Food was good, drinks too. But man, the bill hurt. Prices are high and then they hit you with their own exchange rate on top. Felt like we paid way more than the meal was worth. Maybe I'd come back if I'm not the one paying. 😅

We stopped in for lunch after running errands. Got the Casado and the Casuela Mariscos. The seafood stew was pretty good, lots of shrimp. Price was fair for the amount of food. Place gets busy around noon, but we found a table quick. Not fancy, but it does the job. I'd come back if I'm in the area.

The atmosphere is fantastic, making it a great spot for gatherings. Just be prepared for it to get crowded, so arriving early is a must!

I had an incredible culinary experience here! The tuna was perfectly cooked, and the risotto was creamy and flavorful. The service was warm and attentive, making the whole dining experience memorable.

The pulled pork and brisket were properly smoked, super juicy. Honestly the kind of BBQ I’d crave on a random Tuesday. They even have a kids menu which is nice if you’re with a group. Service was friendly and quick, didn’t feel rushed at all. Good spot to just hang out and eat with friends 😊

The birria tacos are the reason to come here. Meat’s super tender, and that consommé for dipping is legit. Portion’s a little small for what you pay, but honestly the flavor carries it. I’d skip everything else and just order these.
