Been coming here for years. The wine list isn't fancy but they've got a decent Malbec that pairs well with the grilled fish. Place has that old-school charm, 40 years in business and you can tell. Prices fair for what you get. Service was fine, nothing rushed.

Loved the mini pastries—got to try a few flavors without committing to one big dessert. Coffee was solid too, exactly what I needed. Place was a bit busy but worth it for a quick stop.

Good local spot for breakfast. Coffee's legit, straight from local farms. Staff helped me order in my broken Spanish.

The coffee’s still good after all these visits, and the pastries hold up every time. Service was on point today too.

The Buddha bowl was solid — quinoa, sweet potato, falafel all worked well together. Fresh juice on the side hit the spot. Manager came by to check on us, which felt genuine. Only thing is the seating, those wooden chairs get uncomfortable after a while. Would've liked to linger longer but my back said otherwise.

The arepas here are legit. Owner and her daughters were super nice, made the whole thing feel easy. Best Venezuelan spot I've hit in San Jose so far.

Came for the pizza, ended up obsessing over the tres leches. Soaked just right, not too sweet. Brownie was solid too, warm and fudgy. Mojito hit the spot, margarita was kinda weak though. Service was quick, no complaints there.

Elena took care of us and the tres leches was a solid finish. Would've liked a bit more time between courses, but no complaints. A nice glass of sauvignon blanc helped the meal along.

The mocha latte was really good, and the chicken panini hit the spot. Fresh ingredients for sure. Nice quiet place to hang out for a while.

Covered patio at the mall was nice, waiter spoke English and Spanish. Breakfast menu had tons of options.

Breakfast hit different here. Eggs, rice, beans all done right. That homemade chile sauce though, wish I could bottle it. Probably the best meal I had in Costa Rica. Place was busy but worth it.

Stopped by for lunch and got the set menu. Service was on point, food came out quick. Place was pretty quiet which I liked, easy to just sit and eat without rushing. Nothing mind-blowing but solid for a casual meal. Maybe a bit pricey for what it is but I'd come back if I'm in the area.

Been here a few times now, always for a quick lunch. Chicken burger and hummus salad are solid, nothing fancy but they hit the spot. Place is easy to get to, and I like that there's extra seating upstairs when it gets busy. Keeps me coming back.

Bigger space than the old place, and the garden out back is nice. We went for brunch on Sunday, got the usual eggs and coffee. Food was solid, nothing fancy but it hit the spot. Place was busy but not crazy loud. I'll probably come back, it's close to home and easy.

Came for coffee and ended up chatting with Chef Ricardo about his cooking background. Really cool touch that he came out to the table. Service felt way fancier than the price suggested.

We stopped in for a late dinner and the place was pretty quiet. The building is really something, tall ceilings and a nice stained glass window. Food was decent, lots of options. Our server Francisco handled our group of 8 fine. 24 hours is handy. Just wish the lighting was a bit warmer, but that's minor.

The wine list was solid. Owner came by and shared his Nonna’s dessert recipe, that was a nice touch. Food itself didn’t blow me away though.

The coffee here is really good, and they have oat milk which I appreciate. Staff was friendly. I only tried the avocado toast, but it tasted fresh.

Came here for breakfast while wandering the market. The space is bigger than it looks from outside, pretty chill. Got the breaded fish plate — fish was solid, but the pinto beans hit hard with garlic. Like, really garlicky. Not mad at it though. Decent spot if you're already inside and hungry.
