Stopped by on a whim—best souvlaki I had on the island. Pita was soft and warm, portions solid for the price. No complaints.

Stopped by for a quick bite and honestly left pretty full. Got the moussaka, it was warm and comforting, felt like something homemade. Place wasn't too busy around 2pm, so it was chill. Service was fine, nothing crazy. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

We've been going to Nostos for about three years now. Food's been pretty consistent, staff actually remembers us which is nice. They bring out complimentary ice cream at the end, that's a small touch I appreciate. Place gets a bit busy on weekends but the seating is comfortable enough. Not a fancy spot, just a solid neighborhood place we keep returning to.

The owner barely said two words but kept checking if we needed anything. That Sfakian pie though — still warm, honey dripping everywhere. Greek salad was proper too, feta thick and creamy. Place feels like someone's actual home, not a tourist spot. Just wish they had more seating outside.

The beetroot salad alone is worth coming back for. Went twice just for that dish. Garden cats are a bonus but honestly I barely noticed them.

The stuffed cabbage leaves in lemon sauce were the highlight. Homemade baklava was solid too, maybe the best I've had. Owner explained the menu well, but honestly the food did the talking.

Decent spot for a relaxed dinner. The veal and shrimp were pretty good, moussaka was fine. Service was attentive without hovering. Kids got smaller portions without any fuss.

The lamb chops here are the real deal. Juicy, decent amount of seasoning, cooked properly. That's pretty much all I care about. They brought out some raki at the end, which was fine, but honestly I was still thinking about the meat. Place seems family-run, but I wasn't paying much attention to that. Just order the chops and you're good.

We've been coming here for years. The owners remember us every time, which is nice. Food's decent, nothing fancy, but the warmth keeps us coming back.

The grilled shrimp and spinach pasta were solid, and the portions felt right for what you pay. Menu’s got enough variety to keep it interesting. Fair deal overall.

The Village Sausages were solid—good flavor, decent fries, and the tzatziki worked well. View over the sea is nice, service friendly enough. Fair for what you pay.

Tucked in but easy to miss. The lamb was solid and the house red paired nicely with it. Tables spaced out enough that the kids weren't bothering anyone. Service friendly, though we waited a bit for the bill.

The sunset from the terrace was honestly the main reason I stayed for a second drink. Water right there, sky turning all pink and orange. Host greeted me with a genuine smile, not the fake corporate kind. Food was decent, nothing mind-blowing, but that view does a lot of heavy lifting. Would come back just for that golden hour.

Stopped by for lunch after reading about it. The fava was really good, creamy and full of flavor. Stuffed vine leaves were solid too, not like the usual ones you get everywhere. Sitting outside under the trees was nice, staff knew what they were doing. A bit different from the standard taverna menu around Chania, which is refreshing.

Came back a second time during our week here—the lamb chops and Cretan eggs were the standouts. Cook’s a real character too. Just don’t trust Google Maps from Kelemes, we got a bit lost.

The seafood was fresh and well-priced, no complaints there. Kids loved the little playground, kept them busy while we waited for the food. Service was attentive too.

The seafood platter for one was spot on — grilled just right, not rubbery. Sitting there watching the sun drop over the beach while I ate... that view alone made it worth it. Service was there when I needed them, not hovering. Just a really nice, easy evening by the water. 🌅

Stopped by for a quick bite and ended up staying longer than planned. The baklava with pistachio ice cream was warm, sweet, and honestly the best part. Place looks nice at night too. Service was quick enough for a lunch break. No complaints.

Came here twice on our trip. Salmon was cooked right, braised beef was tender. Staff remembered us the second time, which was nice. Place fills up fast so book a table before you go. Solid spot for a proper meal without the fuss.

The tzatziki was super garlicky, almost too much for me. But the shrimp risotto and sea bass were spot on, arrived hot and fresh. Complimentary dessert at the end was a nice touch. 😋

The vine leaf “Greek sushi” thing is still my favorite on the menu. Garden’s quiet too. Been back a few times and it holds up.

Came for lunch, left with a box to go. Portions are decent for the price, and the food was fresh and well-seasoned. Staff were friendly too.

The chickpea soup and braised greens were proper hearty, not fancy at all but full of flavour. Simple setup inside, nothing special, but it works. Go early though, they run out of stuff fast.

The moussaka here was spot on — easily the best I’ve had in a while. They poured a nice local wine to go with it, which made the whole thing click. Service was friendly, though a bit slow.

The staff checked on us a few too many times, honestly. But the food felt a step above your typical taverna—fresh ingredients, nicely plated. Slightly pricey for the area, though.

Vicky the owner is really sweet, told us a bit about the family mill and everything. She even speaks Italian, which caught me off guard. The homemade pasta was solid, you can tell it's fresh. Place has a nice old-school feel to it, nothing fancy but comfortable. Maybe a little quiet when we went, but that's fine.

Stumbled on this place a few weeks ago and now I keep coming back. The staff actually remember what I order, which never happens in bigger spots. Coffee list is way longer than you'd expect for a small place. Frappe was solid. Only thing is it gets a bit crowded after work, but that's probably a good sign.
