Large lamb doner for two, still had leftovers. Good size, not greasy which is a plus. The salad was crisp and fresh. Decent value for the money.

Service is quick and friendly even when busy. Staff handled the queue well, didn't feel rushed. Good for a working lunch.

Nice spot, managed to get a table. The pasta was really good, full of flavour. The garlic bread was a bit too cheesy for my taste though.

The beer selection here is a proper treat. I loved the Peasholm Pale, really crisp and refreshing. Their Irish Cream Porter was a nice surprise too – smooth with a hint of chocolate. Spent a happy hour just working my way through the taps.

The fish and chips here are spot on. Properly crispy batter, the chips are fluffy inside. My little dog was welcome too, which was a nice surprise. A solid choice for a classic seaside meal.

Had a small issue with a cake on a recent visit. The staff were very good about it – they replaced it straight away and gave a refund. No fuss at all, which was appreciated.

Busy pub, but we got a table. My cider was crisp and fresh, which I really appreciate. The Moretti my friend had looked good too. Prices felt fair for what you get.

The service here is genuinely good. Staff are quick and attentive even when the place is packed. They actually seem to enjoy their job, which is nice.

Ordered the chicken tikka masala for takeaway. It was ready exactly when they said. Portion was decent for the price, came with rice and a naan. Could've used a bit more sauce though.

The haddock in the fish and chips was so fresh and flaky, cooked to order. A solid choice for a casual dinner. 🐟

Good spot for the match. Lots of screens, decent beer selection. The memorabilia on the walls is a nice touch, gives it a proper pub feel.

The prawn crackers were so good, crispy and light. But the beef curry really stood out – the sauce was rich and the big chunks of onion gave it a nice bite. Really enjoyed that.

A proper old pub, this. The building's from the 1600s, all low beams and separate rooms. The main draw for me was the cask ales – a really good selection, all kept perfectly. Found a lovely local bitter that went down a treat.

Love that this place has three separate rooms! Makes it so much easier to find a cosy corner for a catch-up with mates. The dog-friendly bit is a nice touch too, means no one has to leave their pup at home. Perfect for a relaxed afternoon pint 🍻

food xx staff absolutely beyond .. thank you

The haggis bonbons were the star for me - crispy outside, surprisingly light inside. Never had them like that before. Everything else tasted fresh too, but those bonbons are what I'll remember.

Great beer selection, and the pub itself is super cozy. Love the vibe here, decent music playing in the background. It's a really nice spot to just unwind.

Tia’s cocktail class was a blast. She’s funny and really knows her stuff—made it super fun for everyone.

Didn't try the food, but the staff were so friendly and polite. Really enjoyed the cosy, charming atmosphere.

Been coming here for years, and the breakfast is always spot on. Freshly cooked, just the way I like it. That consistency is what keeps me coming back.
