Nice old pub with a huge garden out back. Went on a Sunday afternoon and it was really peaceful. Sat outside with a drink, just enjoying the quiet.

The traditional breakfast is a solid choice. I really appreciate that the eggs taste fresh and the tomatoes are properly ripe. The portion felt just right for the price. It's a reliable spot for a simple, wholesome start to the day.

The fish and chips were the highlight for me. The batter was so light and crispy, and I loved that the chips were proper hand-cut. Really generous portion too.

Excellent service our waiter was geneal and cheerful The food was lovely and the ambiance just what three old school friends needed for a very long lunch catching upI will come again

The new layout is impressive, but honestly, I'm just here for the food. The Sunday roast beef was cooked just right, still pink in the middle. The gravy was rich, not too salty. That's what I'll remember.

Food came out hot and fast. The house red was a decent, easy-drinking match for the hearty dishes. Good value.

A proper old pub, and you can tell they look after you. The baked cod was lovely, really well done. The whole place just felt comfortable and relaxed, which is what you want.

A classic pub with a new pool table. The new owners are doing a good job, the locals are friendly. I like the vibe here.

Nice old pub by the canal. They’ve kept the character while updating it. Sat outside with a pint, watching the boats go by. Good spot to unwind.

The 16oz rump steak was huge, easily enough for two. Chips were good, peppercorn sauce was fine. For the price, the portion size is what you're really paying for.

The lamb duo was pretty good. Frankie and Michelle remembered I liked it rare, which was a nice touch. Service was attentive without being overbearing. A solid spot.

This place has such a nice, easygoing vibe. The staff are really friendly and the crowd is always a good mix. I've noticed the food has gotten a lot better lately, which is a bonus. Just a solid local spot.

Good range of craft beers, some interesting rotating options. Prices are a touch high, but you get what you pay for in terms of selection.

Jonny's gin masterclass was a good way to spend an evening. He clearly knows his stuff and enjoys sharing it. You learn a fair bit without it feeling like a lecture.

Managed to snag a last-minute table for a big group, which was a lifesaver! The staff were so on it, really attentive. Made the whole evening easy and fun for everyone.

Really liked the laid-back vibe here. The place has a nice, relaxed feel that’s good for a casual catch-up. Food arrived hot, which is always a plus. Prices felt fair for what you get.

A proper local, not trying to be anything else. The charm is in the simple, excellent pub food and a very welcoming landlady. Their selection of real ales was spot on – found a lovely, malty bitter that paired perfectly with the steak and ale pie. Just a solid, comfortable spot.

A lovely covered garden out back, really spacious with comfy seats. It was drizzling but we stayed perfectly dry, such a nice spot. The avocado and smoked salmon breakfast was good, but honestly, I'd go back just for that garden.

Lovely little place with a proper fireplace - so cosy on a chilly evening. We grabbed a couple of pork pies and cheese & onion cobs to share with drinks. Simple, tasty, and just right for a casual catch-up with mates.

Had the vegan lasagne and 'steak' upstairs. Solid flavours, portions were decent. The live music from downstairs was a bit loud, but our waitress noticed and offered to close the door. Good service touch.

Food's clearly fresh and made to order. Had to wait a bit, but the portion was generous and tasted good. No complaints from me.

Decent pub with a traditional vibe, quite spacious. Had a couple of drinks here before heading out. The atmosphere was pretty good for that. A bit on the pricey side for the area, but fine.

The family room was spacious and spotless, perfect for our needs. Staff were polite and efficient. Good value for the location.

Ellie was great. Kept our glasses full the whole time. Made the bottomless brunch feel easy.

Bottomless brunch was solid. The spaghetti bolognese was a nice surprise, not your usual brunch fare. Drinks came quick, too.

The lamb shawarma wrap was the star for me – the meat was so tender and the garlic sauce had just the right kick. A really chill spot to hang out with friends.

Lovely little pub, really welcoming for dogs. The staff were so nice to our pup, gave him a water bowl and a treat. Made the whole visit feel relaxed and easy.

The food's tasty and there's something for everyone! Just a heads up if you're veggie or allergic to fish - some dressings have anchovies.

Been coming here for years, always solid for a post-work pint. Their rotating taps keep things interesting – tried a local sour last week that was a nice change from the usual. It's my go-to before a show at the Swan.
