We love going to the Sandpiper for its good food and good service.  However, we were disappointed to see how much the prices had gone up.  We will have to think again about whether we return.

Been popping in for a quick pint for years now. It&#39;s the one place I know I&#39;ll always get a decent, well-priced drink without any fuss. Staff are sound, place is always clean. Just reliable.

I had a wonderful experience with the staff, especially Tilly, who greeted us with a smile and provided attentive service throughout our meal. It&#39;s refreshing to see such dedication to customer service.

As per usual the food and service were excellent. We went early Friday evening ( to save cooking). It was quiet but the service was quite efficient. The wine was also rather excellent even if it was the lowest price Sauvignon Blanc.Another good evening.

The mega mixed grill was pretty good. The meat was decently tender, and the peppercorn sauce was nice. It was a solid meal, though the portion felt a bit smaller than expected for the price.

The sticky toffee sundae was the star for me. The warm, gooey sauce with the cold ice cream was just right. We tried a few of the small plates too, decent variety for the price.

The soup was a proper homemade job, really hit the spot on a damp day. My only gripe? The wine list is a bit limited for a place that does such solid, rustic food. The pinot noir I had was fine, just a bit simple. Still, the wrap was spot on.
