My midweek visit to the River Wyre restaurant was very enjoyable. The staff were attentive and helpful. There was a real fire burning and my favourite cocktail was made to perfection. My slow cooked belly pork was delicious.

The Guinness is the real deal here. Properly poured, thick and creamy head that holds. You can taste the roast barley. It's a proper pint, not like some places that rush it. That's what I come for.

The staff are always so friendly. Makes a difference when you're just popping in for a quick lunch. They remembered my usual order this time, which was a nice touch. Really pleasant bunch.

I came for the vegan breakfast. The falafel was really fresh, which I appreciate. The potato cake was nice too. It's a cozy spot to sit and enjoy a healthy meal.

The vibe was just right for a family dinner. Soft lighting, a gentle hum of conversation, and the warmth from the open kitchen made everything feel so cosy. It was exactly the kind of relaxed setting we needed.

Lovely spot. The brick arches in The Vaults really make it feel cozy and intimate. It's a nice, clean space to relax in.

Lovely local pub vibe. The ale selection was decent, but honestly, it was the food menu that really stood out. So many good options, made choosing a bit tricky! A solid spot.

Been coming here for years. Staff are always friendly and quick, even on a packed Friday night. The new decor is nice, makes it feel a bit cosier for a quick bite.

The staff were so kind to my grandkids, really made our night. Food came out quick and wasn't pricey.

Shane and his team handled our group of 30 so well. The food was fresh and the ingredients tasted high-quality, which I really appreciate.

The upstairs event space has a really nice, relaxed vibe on Monday nights. Perfect for board games with a drink. Just a shame they don't serve food in the evenings, had to grab a bite beforehand.

The mini matcha cake was a lovely little treat. The sponge had a good flavour, and the fresh fruit was a nice addition.

It's like stepping into a different era. All the original features are still there, just as they were. A proper slice of old Liverpool.

Popped in before the match. The steak and ale pie was solid, proper comfort food. What really stood out was the house red - a surprisingly decent Merlot that paired perfectly with the rich gravy. Drinks are fairly priced for the location, which is a bonus around here.

The set banquet menu is a solid deal. I always leave stuffed! The flavours are rich and everything arrives steaming hot. Portions are generous, no complaints there. A reliable spot for a satisfying meal.

Been coming here for years. It's my local. Drinks are fairly priced, place is always clean. The Wednesday history talks are a nice bonus if you're around.

The beer garden is lovely on a sunny day. Had a decent lager there, though I wish they had a few more craft options on tap. A solid spot for a casual pint outdoors.

Stopped by on a whim. The pasta was really fresh and flavourful. Service was spot on – they were around when you needed them but didn't hover. Felt relaxed the whole time.

The staff were so patient with my little one, which made all the difference. The ice cream machine and colouring sheets kept him happy for ages. A really relaxed spot for a family meal.

The room was really spacious and well-appointed, which made a big difference. It felt more like a proper little apartment than just a hotel room. Everything was spotlessly clean too.

Been coming here for years for a proper takeaway. The fish is reliably fresh with a crisp batter, but the mushy peas are the real star for me. They get the texture just right. Simple food, but they do it well.
