We had the 5-course Christmas menu. Every dish was beautifully presented, and the ingredients tasted really fresh. I especially liked how they balanced the flavors—nothing felt too heavy. Service was attentive without hovering. Only tiny thing: the pace between courses was a bit slow. But overall a nice evening.

The pork knuckle was the star. Crispy skin, tender inside, proper mustard on the side. Meat quality is solid, cooked right. Biergarten outside is fine but I barely noticed it. Came for the food, left full. That's what counts.

Food was decent, honestly. Had the schnitzel and it came out hot and crispy. Portion size was fair for the price, not huge but not stingy either. Service was a bit cold though, nothing rude, just not super warm. If you're after a quick bite without small talk, it works. Probably wouldn't go out of my way for it again.

Plenty of parking right in front, which is always a plus. Food was solid and the price was fair for what you get. Quick in and out for a lunch break.

Came here on a Tuesday evening, place was busy but not packed. Had the grilled fish and it was properly cooked, flaky and seasoned well. The owner stopped by our table for a quick chat, seemed genuinely into what he does. Service was fine, nothing over the top. Prices are fair for the quality. I'd come back if I'm in the area.

Decent spot for Italian food. The ingredients tasted fresh, you can tell they put some thought into sourcing. Service was friendly but not hovering, which I liked. Price seemed fair for what you got. Wouldn't say it's mind-blowing, but it's a solid choice if you're in the area.

The pork knuckle was spot on—crispy skin, tender inside. I had their wheat beer at €7.50, which felt a bit much for the size, but it paired nicely with the meal. Service was friendly enough, nothing to complain about. Prices lean high, but you're paying for decent quality.

Decent tapas and mains for the price. The complimentary bread with dips was a nice touch. Pretty good spot if you're in the area.

The schnitzel and fries were really good—crispy, not greasy, and the portion was decent for the price. Staff got everything out fast, no waiting around. It's just a snack bar, so don't expect much atmosphere, but honestly, for what you pay, it's solid. I'd come back if I'm in the area and want something quick without spending too much.

The beef burgers here are way better than the chicken ones, no question. Halal is a big plus for me, so that alone makes it worth coming back. Portions are solid too—one meal plus a single burger was enough for two of us to share. Nothing fancy, but it does the job.

Great spot to catch up with friends over dinner. Service was super attentive and the place felt bright and cozy. Solid five stars from me 🌟

Been coming here for a while now, and the moussaka is still the reason I keep showing up. Layers are spot on, not too heavy, and the seasoning is consistent every single time. Place has that proper family-run vibe, nothing fancy, but you feel it the moment you walk in. If you're into Greek food, this is the one dish to try.

Came for a birthday thing, staff brought out tiramisu with a candle on their own. Nice touch. Portions are big, plating looks good too. Solid spot for that kind of occasion.

The tapas were solid, especially the bacon-wrapped dates. Place looks authentic inside, service was fine. Nothing fancy but it hit the spot.

The 200g cheeseburger here is solid. Organic meat comes through in the taste. Probably one of the better ones in Essen.

The chef actually came out to tweak a dish for my dietary needs. No fuss, no eye-rolls. That kind of flexibility is rare. Service was quick too, and they take cards. Solid spot if you're in the area.

Went on a weekday evening, pretty happy with it. Prices felt fair, especially compared to Düsseldorf. Food was fresh and looked nice on the plate. Street parking right in front, no hassle.

The Mexican burger was really good. Staff let us hang around with our wine after we finished, no rush at all. Nice change.

Food was decent, service friendly but a bit slow. Salad bar concept is nice, though selection felt limited for the price. Fine for a quick stop if you're nearby.

Lovely little place, really warm inside. The food was tasty and the welcome felt genuine. Cozy enough to just sit and take your time.

The all-you-can-eat deal is solid, especially with the tablet ordering. Sushi and maki were fresh, and you can order in rounds to try a bit of everything. Service kept up fine.

We stopped by for dinner and the owner really took care of us. She explained the dishes and helped us pick. It was our first time with Persian food and the menu is small, so it felt easy to try things. Card payment worked fine. Only thing, it got a bit busy later and we waited a little longer for the bill. But the seating was comfortable and we didn’t feel rushed.

First time here and honestly the meat was so tender. Really well seasoned too, not dry at all. Portion size felt right for what you pay. Service was quick even though it seemed busy. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

The pasta and saltimbocca were really good. Prices are steep though, especially for drinks. Service was fine, but I'm not sure it's worth the splurge every time.

The Hermes Platter was the highlight — solid mix, well presented. Chicken breast with Metaxa sauce came out juicy, cooked right. Place was busy but not chaotic, so conversation worked fine. Service was efficient, no long waits. Fair for what you pay, though not cheap. I'd come back if I'm in the area again.

The sweet potato fries were decent, and the truffle mayo added a nice touch. It got a bit busy, but the noise level stayed manageable for a chat.

The food quality in Buer has genuinely improved—I was surprised. Outdoor seating is the spot during summer. Pub vibe is chill too.

Buffet selection is solid—sushi and sashimi were fresh, and the Chinese dishes had proper wok hei. Nice to see they don't dumb down the seasoning for Western tastes. Worth the price.
