Popped in for a weekend brunch with my mates. The bubble and squeak was spot on, really hit the spot. Staff were lovely and chatty, didn't feel rushed at all. Perfect for a lazy catch-up.

The coffee was strong and well-made. The food smelled great. I appreciated that they had a decent selection of wines by the glass to pair with the meal, which is always a plus for me. Made for a very pleasant lunch.

They had colouring books and crayons for the kids, which was a thoughtful touch. The playground just outside is a huge plus for families. Kept my little one entertained while we waited for our food.

Been coming here for years, and the portions are always huge. Never feel like I'm getting short-changed, which is a big plus for me.

Got a table without a booking, but yeah, book ahead. Downstairs was nice and quiet. Staff were quick and attentive even though it was packed upstairs. Food came out fast, which was perfect for a quick lunch.

The shakshuka hash with halloumi and avocado was a real treat. The homemade garlic bread was perfectly crispy for dipping. I had a glass of a medium-bodied red with it, and the pairing worked surprisingly well. A solid brunch choice.

A proper local cafe. The food is wholesome and comes out quickly. It’s a popular spot for walkers and cyclists on the coastal path.

The coffee's really good, but the main thing for me is the space. It's got these big windows and high ceilings, feels so open and airy. Just a nice spot to sit for a while with a book.

The avocado toast is the reason I keep coming back. The bread has a perfect crunch, and the avocado is always fresh and creamy. It's a simple dish, but they get it just right. The toasted sandwiches are also solid, but the toast is the star.

Been coming here for years, and the full English is always spot on. It's the reason I keep coming back.

Came here for a lazy Sunday brunch with my uni mates. The breakfast stack was so good we ordered another one to share! The vibe is really warm and cosy, perfect for a long catch-up. Just a heads up, it got a bit loud later on.

Helen the chef really knows her stuff. I was impressed by the variety of vegan and veggie dishes. Tried the mushroom tapas on a Saturday night with one of their gin cocktails. It's not cheap, but you can taste the quality.

They’ve really done something special with the space since the refresh. Feels more open, but still cosy. Love the mix of sweet and savoury bites. Service was quick, which was nice for a casual stop.

Lovely spot for a sunny afternoon. The garden seating is a real highlight - peaceful and beautifully arranged, felt like a proper little escape. My only note is that the wine list is a bit limited for the setting. A crisp rosé would have been perfect out there.

Been coming here for years. Their cream tea is always spot on, just what you need after a stroll.

Been coming here for brunch for a while. Zahra recommended the smoked salmon hash this time – a pretty good choice. The hash brown was nice and crisp, and the creme fraiche with the salmon worked well. The iced avocado coffee is a nice touch, too. Portions are decent, though it felt a touch pricey.

Nice spot near the seafront. Sat outside on a sunny afternoon, which was pleasant. The fish and chips were pretty good, decent portion. Service was fine, though a little slow when they got busy. A solid choice for a casual lunch.

Solid brunch spot. Their vegan breakfast plate was really well put together - the scrambled tofu had a nice texture and flavour. Coffee's proper Melbourne strength, which is a plus. Just a bit of a wait for a table on Sunday.

The parsnip soup was authentic, but a bit thin for my taste. Had it with a glass of their house white, which was a decent pairing. The vibe in the place is nice, though.

Found a real gem. The menu's straightforward and healthy, which I appreciate. Coffee selection is solid, and the cakes are a highlight. That coffee cake was spot on. Good value for the quality.

Popped in for a late brunch with a friend. The spinach frittata was so light and fluffy, perfect for a casual catch-up. My flat white was a bit on the bitter side, but hers was fine. Good spot for a relaxed chat.

The milkshake was the best part. Thick, cold, and not too sweet. Everything else was fine, but that's what I'll remember.

Booked a breakfast for a catch-up with friends. The poached eggs were spot on, and the coffee was just right. Easy to book online, and the staff were really friendly. A good spot for a relaxed morning chat.

The full English breakfast was cooked just right, not greasy. Good portion for the price. The staff were really friendly and attentive, which made for a relaxed morning.

Cycled here with a group and they squeezed our bikes in, no fuss. The back garden was lovely for a catch-up. Service was spot on, and the food was really good for the price. A solid find for a casual hangout.

Perfect for a post-beach walk bite with friends. They even have dog sausages so no one gets left out!

The veggie breakfast was so fresh. You could tell the ingredients were just prepped, and it was a really nice portion. Coffee was smooth, not bitter at all. A good, healthy start to the day.

The veggie biryani here is the real deal. Basmati rice is perfectly separate, not mushy at all. The whole spices are fragrant, and the potatoes have a nice bite to them. Samosas are crispy and well-seasoned. Food is always served hot, which is a big plus for me.
