Maddy was so attentive, she seemed to know what we needed before we did. Just the right amount of check-ins, never intrusive. The whole evening felt really smooth because of it.

The parsnip soup was authentic, but a bit thin for my taste. Had it with a glass of their house white, which was a decent pairing. The vibe in the place is nice, though.

The staff were so friendly with our big group. They really took care of my friend's gluten-free request without any fuss. Made the whole dinner feel relaxed.

Came here with friends after a hike. The vanilla shake was so good, and the burgers were tasty. Perfect for a casual catch-up.

I had a fantastic experience with the food here, especially the traditional fish and chips. It was well-prepared and the fish tasted incredibly fresh.

Love the vibe in this old pub! Perfect for catching up with friends over a pint. The staff are super friendly, which really makes you feel welcome. The home-cooked food is solid, too. Just a really nice, relaxed spot.

A family-run spot, nice personal touch. They handled my gluten-free request without any fuss. The afternoon tea looked lovely, and tasted pretty good. A decent experience overall.

The kids' menu is actually decent, which is a nice surprise. My little one had the pasta with tomato sauce and ate most of it. Makes a family meal out a bit less stressful.

Found a real gem. The menu's straightforward and healthy, which I appreciate. Coffee selection is solid, and the cakes are a highlight. That coffee cake was spot on. Good value for the quality.

Been coming here for years after walks on the ridge. The burger's always decent, nothing fancy but hits the spot. Good pint to go with it. Just a solid local pub.

Nice big beer garden, and the kids' play area kept the little ones happy. We could relax with a pint while they ran around. Perfect for a sunny afternoon with the family.

Loved the beer garden out back! It’s such a cosy, sheltered spot. We spent a whole sunny afternoon there with a group of friends, just chatting and relaxing. Really nice for a casual catch-up.

Popped in for a late brunch with a friend. The spinach frittata was so light and fluffy, perfect for a casual catch-up. My flat white was a bit on the bitter side, but hers was fine. Good spot for a relaxed chat.

Been coming here for years, and the fact they're always dog-friendly is a big part of why. Our pup gets a bowl of water without us even asking. It's just a reliable place where he can chill under the table while we have a pint.

The savoury pies are spot on every time. But I've had a couple of fruit pies where the filling was a bit too runny. If you're after a specific one, maybe give them a ring before you head over later on.

The milkshake was the best part. Thick, cold, and not too sweet. Everything else was fine, but that's what I'll remember.

Booked a breakfast for a catch-up with friends. The poached eggs were spot on, and the coffee was just right. Easy to book online, and the staff were really friendly. A good spot for a relaxed morning chat.

George was so kind to let us finish our meal despite a later booking. The ingredients tasted wonderfully fresh.

Coffee's definitely better than most around here. The mocha was a real treat, not too sweet. But at £4.50 for a regular, I did have to think twice before ordering. It's a bit of a splurge for a quick cup.

The full English breakfast was cooked just right, not greasy. Good portion for the price. The staff were really friendly and attentive, which made for a relaxed morning.

The owner came by our table to check on things, which was a nice touch. You can tell they really care about making sure everyone's comfortable. The staff are all genuinely friendly, it makes a difference.

The portions here are huge, especially for the price. My steak was cooked just right, and the chips were proper hand-cut. You can tell they don't skimp on the ingredients. Honestly, it's hard to find that kind of value these days. Left feeling very full and satisfied.

Greek night special was solid. The bacon and brie ciabatta is my go-to for a quick lunch. Always get my order fast, which is key for me. A reliable spot when you're in a hurry.

The staff were so lovely even though it was packed! They double-checked my nut allergy without me having to ask, which was a relief. Really appreciated that attention to detail.

Booked a last-minute table with friends, and the staff were so nice about it! The onion bhaji was super crispy, and the curry had so many different flavours. Really good spot for a casual catch-up.

Cycled here with a group and they squeezed our bikes in, no fuss. The back garden was lovely for a catch-up. Service was spot on, and the food was really good for the price. A solid find for a casual hangout.

The takeaway was still piping hot when I got home. You can really taste the care in the flavours. A nice surprise for a Friday night in.
