The waffles were crispy outside and soft inside, just how I like them. Tried the red velvet one—sweet but not too heavy. Would come back for that alone.

The ceviche was spot on—fresh, tangy, just right. Had it with a chilcano and honestly the pairing made the whole thing better. Arroz con mariscos looked great too, though I didn't get to it this time.

Dropped by for a late lunch and honestly the menu is massive. I went with the duck and it was pretty solid, cooked well and not dry. Portions are generous too, I couldn't finish mine. The chicha morada tasted freshly made, not from a bottle. Place was busy but we got a table right away. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

We came for the risotto and it didn’t disappoint—super creamy and full of flavor. Right next to Huaca Pucllana, so easy to find. A bit touristy, but honestly the pasta was solid. Good spot if you’re hanging with friends.

The salmon with capers and creamy risotto was spot on. Moist, flavorful, exactly what I wanted. Açai bowl had plenty of toppings too.

Decent spot for a night out. Service was attentive, crowd skews 35+ which I liked. Music was mostly 80s/90s, pretty good if that's your thing.

The live blues vinyl was a nice touch, really set the vibe. Pizza was solid and the service kept things moving. Good spot for a chill night out.

Stopped by for lunch and grabbed the rocoto relleno. That thing was solid, nice kick to it. Place is big and gets loud, but whatever. The costillas though, kinda bland, needed more seasoning. No parking lot, had to find a spot a couple blocks away. Fine for a quick bite if you're in the area.

Big portions for sure. I sat near the window and the light was nice, not too harsh. The sahofan with chicken was pretty good, noodles had a nice texture. Place gets loud when there's a game on, but the big screens make it easy to watch. Fine for a casual meal.

The causa rellena was solid and the lomo saltado hit the spot. Downtown location makes it easy to stop by. Got a bit loud around lunchtime, but the vibe inside was still nice. I’d sit by the window next time, seemed a little quieter over there.

Antonio took care of our big table like a pro, splitting the bill without a fuss. The seafood rice was the standout. Just wish the chairs were a bit more comfortable for sitting around after.

Beautiful colonial house, feels like a whole different world from the busy center. Had the lomo saltado, meat was tender and the sauce was on point. Service kept a good distance, never hovering.

The lomo saltado was solid, but finding mayo on a random fry kinda grossed me out. Probably a one-off thing, still left a weird taste though.

Prices are a bit steep for the area, but the food is solid and the place feels calm. Coffee was good too. Menu has everything from salads to Peruvian classics. Fair enough for what you get.

Ramen was light and the broth had good flavor. Sushi tasted fresh too. Bit pricey for what you get, but I'd probably come back if I'm craving Japanese.

The grilled octopus was the standout. Tender, smoky, just the right amount of salt. Portion size was solid for the price. Place gets packed by noon, so get there early or you'll wait. That's about it.

The empanadas came out pretty small, honestly. But the coffee and desserts are the move here—I grabbed a slice of cake and it was solid. Shakes were way too sweet for me though. Service was fine, nothing special. I'd come back just for the dessert part.

Pasta portions are solid for the price. Wine list has some cheap picks that don't suck. Got in and out fast enough for a lunch break.

The set lunch was solid and the Quiche Lorraine really stood out. Nice spot in an old building right by Plaza de Armas. Staff kept checking in even when it got busy.

The chateaubriand was spot on—better than most US steakhouses I've tried. Local wine pairing didn't disappoint either.

Happy hour here is solid. Two pisco sours for 34 soles, that's a deal you don't see often in Barranco. Drinks came out well-balanced, and the tuna tartare was a nice touch. Place was a bit loud, but whatever. Good spot to start the night.

Been coming here for a while now. The gelato stays consistent, which is honestly the main thing for me. Portions are still generous, flavors are strong. It's a tiny place, easy to walk right past, but I keep going back. Just wish they had more seating, but that's not why I'm there.

Small spot, gets packed fast. Music was decent though, not too loud. Had the rib burger and cheese balls - burger was messy but tasty, cheese balls were crispy. Prices are fair for the area. Service was quick even with the crowd. Would go back if I'm in the neighborhood.
