The stuffed cabbage leaves in lemon sauce were the highlight. Homemade baklava was solid too, maybe the best I've had. Owner explained the menu well, but honestly the food did the talking.

Stopped here because it was right in the middle of Rethymno and easy to find. Grabbed a gyros and some souvlaki—both were really solid. Nothing fancy, just a simple street-side setup, but honestly that's part of the charm. The seating is pretty basic though, so don't expect to linger too long. Fine for a quick bite.

The fava was the standout—so creamy and full of flavor. Had to wait a bit without a reservation, but the daily special made up for it. Heads up: bread isn't free.

Stopped by for lunch, sat in the shaded courtyard. Got the Cretan lamb, pretty solid. Service was friendly, no complaints. They brought out raki and a little dessert on the house, which was a nice surprise. Place has a good vibe, tucked in the old town. Maybe a bit touristy but I'd go back.

Moussaka was solid. Cheesecake too. View from the terrace made it worth stopping. Place gets busy around sunset, so you might wait a bit. But yeah, food did the job.

Vicky the owner is really sweet, told us a bit about the family mill and everything. She even speaks Italian, which caught me off guard. The homemade pasta was solid, you can tell it's fresh. Place has a nice old-school feel to it, nothing fancy but comfortable. Maybe a little quiet when we went, but that's fine.

The four cheese pasta is still the best I've had around here. Tried the burger and salad too, all solid. Beats most of the beachfront spots for the price.

Stopped here for a quick bite and honestly the service was fast. Got my food in like 10 minutes. The sea view is a nice touch while you eat. Place is clean too. Nothing fancy but does the job if you're in a hurry. 👍

Stumbled on this place a few weeks ago and now I keep coming back. The staff actually remember what I order, which never happens in bigger spots. Coffee list is way longer than you'd expect for a small place. Frappe was solid. Only thing is it gets a bit crowded after work, but that's probably a good sign.

The Cretan pizza with goat cream is a wild one—glad I tried it, though I'd grab a glass of red to balance the tang. Classic pies looked safer for pickier folks.

Went back a second time, which says enough. The moussaka was solid and the lamb kleftiko had good flavor. Portions are generous, maybe too much honestly. Free raki at the end was a nice touch.

Been coming here for years now. That antikristo lamb still gets me every time - proper smoky, falls off the bone. Sitting by the water with the trees around you, it's just easy. Portions are big, you definitely won't leave hungry. Prices are alright too, considering what you're getting. Place gets busy though, so come early if you can.

Good quality for the price. Ingredients taste fresh, clearly local. Service stayed quick even when it got crowded. Solid spot if you're in the area.

Stopped by for a quick bite and honestly left pretty full. Got the moussaka, it was warm and comforting, felt like something homemade. Place wasn't too busy around 2pm, so it was chill. Service was fine, nothing crazy. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

Stopped by for loukoumades after walking around the old town. The honey and walnuts on top were just right, not too sticky sweet. Dough was light, still warm when they brought it out. Place is small, more of a grab-and-go spot. Fine if you're craving something like that in Rethymno.

The mushroom orzo was a nice surprise — glad they label the vegan options clearly. Charming spot, though the local cats definitely steal the show 😄

The grilled octopus was the only thing I cared about. Tender, smoky, just enough salt. Ate it slow, didn't want it to end. The rest of the plate was whatever, but that octopus did the job. Portion could be bigger for the price, but I'd come back just for that one dish.

Great spot to sit with a coffee and watch the Fortezza from above. Calm enough to get some work done too. Wish I'd found it earlier in my trip.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Pizza was solid, came out hot from the wood-fired oven. Place has a chill vibe, fine for a fast bite. Service was polite but a bit slow — had to wait longer than I hoped. Still, decent spot if you're not in a huge rush.

Stopped by for a quick lunch, ended up chilling way longer than planned. Place has a relaxed vibe, no rush at all. Zucchini balls were the highlight—crispy, tasty, gone in minutes. Staff were nice, didn't hover. Good spot if you want a laid-back bite.

We’ve been coming here for years, mostly for the pizza. Dough’s always good, sauce is right. They made our son a simple cheese pizza, no fuss, even though it wasn’t on the menu. That’s the kind of place it is. Gets busy on weekends, but we always find a spot. Solid neighborhood spot.

The stuffed zucchini flowers with Cretan spices were the highlight. Also noticed they use a separate fryer for gluten-free fries. Grilled sea bream was fresh, properly cooked. Service was fine, nothing fancy.
