Kal was our waiter, really nice guy. Service was spot on, didn't feel rushed at all. He knew the menu well, gave us a straight answer on the specials. Makes a difference when the staff are like that.

The vegetarian tasting menu was a real highlight. Portions were generous, which I appreciate. The roasted beetroot with goat's cheese was particularly good – earthy and creamy. The mushroom risotto had a deep, savoury flavour. A solid meal focused on the food.

Ordering online was really easy. The mix grill tasted lovely, but I did feel the portion was a touch on the small side for what we paid. Still, it was a nice, straightforward meal.

The butter chicken was lovely, rich and creamy. A nice touch was the little chocolates they brought with the bill. The service was friendly and unhurried, which made for a relaxed evening.

Been coming here for years now. The team always remembers you, and they’re quick with a suggestion if you’re stuck. That’s what keeps me coming back – you know exactly what you’re getting.

We were in a rush before a film, but they got a lovely selection of starters to us in no time. The wine list had some nice options to pair with them, too.

The new team is doing a good job. Had a lovely cold Guinness with my steak pie - a proper pairing for a hearty meal. The sunset view from the garden was a nice bonus. Staff were on it.

Had the chocolate & strawberry pot and pistachio brownie. Both were spot on. The cafe itself is quiet and comfortable, good for a quick coffee meeting.

The birthday cake was a lovely touch, and it paired nicely with their house red. A thoughtful gesture.

Had a lovely catch-up here with friends. The starters were good, but the main course was the real star – the lamb was so tender! The atmosphere was relaxed, perfect for a long chat. A bit on the pricier side, but we all left happy.

The fish is so fresh, you can taste the quality. The new owners kept the same high standards, which is a relief. Really appreciate the focus on simple, clean ingredients. The welcome was warm, but the portion felt a bit small for the price. Still, a solid spot for a healthy meal.

Great spot to bring the dog. They even have a special menu for them, which is a nice touch. Food came out fast too.

The full English breakfast was a real treat after a long walk. The breakfast potatoes were a total standout for me – perfectly crispy and seasoned. I’d never had anything quite like them before.

Had the roast lamb in a brioche bun with a pint of Neck Oil. The lamb was tender, really well-seasoned, and the brioche was soft but held up. The beer was crisp and cold. Just a solid, tasty combo.

Stopped in for a quick coffee. The gluten-free cake selection was actually decent, which is rare for a small cafe. Staff were nice, place is tidy.

Came here with a big group of mates. Staff were really chill about it, handled the whole table without any fuss. Made it easy for everyone to just relax and enjoy. Good vibes.

Crispy duck and kung po prawns were good. Lemon chicken was a nice surprise, not too sweet.

The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned. Garlic chips were spot on, crispy and packed with flavour. Better than the usual chain places for sure. A decent feed for the price.

The buffet's order-as-you-go system is smart. Keeps things fresh and cuts down on waste. Staff were on it, checking if we wanted more.

Tried their signature dish on a whim. It was genuinely tasty and felt authentic. Portion was decent for the price. A solid, no-fuss meal.

The staff here are so attentive, even when it's packed. They remembered my usual order for the grilled salmon salad—it felt very personal. The salmon was cooked perfectly, and the greens were incredibly fresh. A really nice touch that makes you feel looked after.

The duck and plum sauce bento was the star for me. The sauce had this deep, tangy-sweet flavour that went so well with the really tender meat. Rice was spot on too. Just a really solid, tasty lunch.

Decent pub with early evening deals. The fish and chips portion was huge, and the fish tasted fresh. Good value for a quick meal after work.

Beautiful location inside a very spacious and antique building. The afternoon tea section has a number of low tables and comfortable seats. The service was amazing and the food was even better. Not the cheapest afternoon tea we’ve had but it was all worth it for how much we all enjoyed it.

Decent spot for a quick lunch. The place is much bigger than it looks from outside, so never had to wait for a table. Got the beef noodle soup - came out fast and hit the spot. Good for when you're in a rush.

Decent all-you-can-eat spot. The chicken wings and garlic mushrooms were the best part, really good. Everything else was just okay.

The food was really good, but what stood out was how comfortable the seating was. I could actually relax and enjoy my meal without feeling rushed. The service was friendly and attentive, which made for a very pleasant evening out.

Been here a few times for quick business lunches. The chickpea and spinach curry is a reliable choice, flavourful and not too heavy. Service is always efficient, which is key when you're on a tight schedule. Good spot near the office.

Had the Christmas carvery here. The roast potatoes were crisp, the turkey was moist. The spiced apple crumble was a nice finish, you could taste the fresh apples. Staff were friendly as usual. A good, hearty meal.
