The mojito was really good—probably the best I’ve had in a while. The place has a nice vibe too, though it did get a bit busy later on.

The wild stew was solid, rich flavor. Sweet potato soup creamy too. Only thing, it got cold under the tent at night even with heaters.

Stopped by for a glass of wine last week. Place is small but cozy. Bartender knew his stuff, explained a few options without being pushy. Pours were decent, not stingy at all. Didn't eat but the plates going by looked proper. Maybe next time I'll grab something. Fine spot if you're in the area.

Very nice restaurant with a lot of choices for the diner. I recommend particularly the "Kip Piri Piri".Perfect service. For me, it's simply the best restaurant in Hengelo.

The veggie burger here was actually really good—came with a decent amount of fries too. Staff were friendly and seemed genuinely into what they were doing. Sat outside, which was nice since the weather cooperated. Only thing is it's a bit on the pricier side for a casual lunch, but I'd probably come back anyway.

Been coming here for a while now. The in-house roasted coffee on Tuesdays is the reason I keep showing up. Had the De Pelikaan again with the whipped cream on top. Still as good as the first time. Place gets busy but that's fine. Just wish they'd open a bit earlier sometimes.

The food was really tasty, nicely plated too. We sat near the window, and the chairs were comfortable enough to just relax and take our time. Service was friendly without hovering, which I appreciated. Only thing, it got a bit busy later, but that didn't bother us much. A solid spot if you want an easy, pleasant meal.

The staff helped us pick from the menu and that made all the difference. Steak was properly cooked and easily the best meal we had on the trip.

The chef actually knows their stuff about gluten-free prep. Felt safe eating here as a celiac, which honestly never happens. Got the risotto and it was solid.

We ordered the ribeye and the truffle pasta. Portion was decent for the price, honestly. The pasta had a good amount of truffle shavings, not just a hint. My only gripe? The waiter barely looked at us, while the table next door got the full friendly treatment. Food saved the night though.

The Vierhouten Steak is still my go-to here. Cooked right, decent portion, no fuss. Place looks nice too, they clearly put some effort into the interior. Staff was friendly enough, didn't have to wait long for the bill. Solid neighborhood spot, I'll keep coming back when I don't feel like cooking.

The place is a recurring meeting point for family dos, a habit descended from my in-laws.This time just a meal for two. Good food, diligent, pleasant service.

Nice spot for a quick lunch. Sandwich was solid, coffee did the job. Bit pricey but the view makes up for it.

The stroopwafel blondie was gooey and caramelly, exactly what I needed. Cozy spot, felt like sitting in someone's living room.

A restaurant with a lot of history! We loved walking around and finished it with an amazing meal! Every dish was excellent and our kids got a present each. Staff was very friendly and approachable. Would very much recommend!

The 5-course surprise menu was solid—each dish had clear, distinct flavors. Pork belly portion was tiny though, and the wait between courses dragged a bit. Cooking quality made up for it.

Good food, ambience. Price is a bit high, but yeah love the place, hoping there will be more vegan/vegetarian without egg options in future

The pancakes were solid, lots of options to choose from. Kids loved the indoor playground, that barn-style setup is pretty clever. We stopped here after a hike and it hit the spot. Only thing, it got a bit busy around 2pm so finding a table took a few minutes. But the coffee was decent and the staff didn't rush us. Fine for what it is.

The lunch menu had so many options I actually had to read it twice. Ended up going with the grilled chicken bowl and honestly the seasoning was spot on. Not too salty, not bland. Staff kept their distance but were quick when I needed a refill. Only thing is the place got a bit busy around 1pm, so maybe come earlier if you want a quiet seat.

The interior is modern without feeling cold — good lighting, tables spaced out enough that you're not overhearing the next conversation. Sat near the window and it was pretty comfortable. They've got an outdoor terrace too, which is nice if you catch a sunny day. Wouldn't mind going back just for that.

The staff really took their time explaining the menu, which I appreciated. Food was solid for what you pay. Just wish the seating area was a bit more comfortable.

Popped in for a quick lunch on a rainy day. Place had a warm vibe, felt cozy inside. Got the daily special, came out fast and hot. No complaints about the service either. Solid spot if you're in the area and need something quick. Maybe a bit busy around noon, but that's expected.

Aaaaa is also very nice and very nice to have a nice day and a nice day to see you guys have a nice day and I have a meeting with you tomorrow morning and I will

Recommended by the Michelin guide but it was an awful experience and a disservice to their brand. We ordered four chef menus and ended up sending back all the mains and leaving before dessert. The fish was not fresh and inedible….the smell of old fish was unbearable. The ingredients may be local but the cooking skill and quality is very low. Avoid

The courtyard is a real find - quiet and hidden from the noise, but smack in the middle of town. Wine list was solid.
