The setting really does it here — tucked in the woods, super quiet. Food was decent, nothing wild, but you don’t come for that. Just sitting outside with the trees around, that’s the whole vibe. I’d go back just for that calm.

Very cozy and friendly "eetcafe" with a nice selection of beers! We had several courses and the top one was the "schnitzel": delicious!Very friendly staff too.

The carpaccio was fresh and the round steak with fries hit the spot. Portions are generous, no doubt. Staff treated us like regulars, which I appreciated. Just a bit busy for my taste, but the vibe was warm.

Stopped by for a quick bite in the center. Fish and chips were solid, crispy batter and the fish was fresh. They took my food allergy seriously which I appreciated. Prices felt fair for what you get. Nothing fancy but does the job.

Been coming here for a while now. Pizza's still as good as the first time I tried it. Crust has that nice chew, sauce isn't too sweet. Place gets busy so you might wait a bit, but that's fine if you're not in a hurry. Just don't show up starving. Relaxed spot, nothing fancy, but it works for me.

Food was solid and came out fast. Staff spoke English which made things easy. The interior has that classic Amsterdam vibe. Been here a few times now, still consistent.

The exterior is gorgeous, like a fairytale house, but inside it’s all sleek and modern. Food quality genuinely surprised me—fresh and well-seasoned. Staff were friendly enough, though service slowed down a bit when the place filled up. I’d go back for the duck alone.

Great find and excellent meal. The menu was creative and the food wonderful. We would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting or living in Wageningen or the area.

Nice spot to sit outside when it’s warm. Service was quick and the vibe felt relaxed. Good enough for a casual bite.

Booked the west room for a PhD group dinner. Terrace BBQ with Angus burgers worked well for everyone. Owner didn't mind us bringing our own snacks, which was a plus. Service was straightforward and efficient. Solid choice if you need a casual space for a larger group without too much hassle.

Tried the lamb skewers and the eggplant with goat cheese. Pretty good, actually. The terrace is nice if the weather holds up. Service was fine, nothing to complain about. Maybe a bit pricey for what you get, but I'd go back.

Service was quick and friendly, which I always appreciate. Food was decent, nothing crazy but solid enough. Good spot if you're nearby and want an easy meal with friends. ☕

Service stayed friendly even when the place filled up. Food took a while on a busy night, but it was worth the wait. The kids got a coloring page, nice touch.

Nice terrace right by the church, good spot to unwind. Wine list was solid, menu easy to read. Service did the job, nothing more. Fine for a casual meal.

Came here around 10pm for a late bite and honestly the vibe was better than expected. Service stayed sharp even that late, which surprised me. I had the satay and it was decent — sauce had a nice kick. Place wasn't too crowded either. Maybe slightly pricey for what you get, but fine for a late snack.

Came here for a quick lunch, had the grilled chicken with veggies. Meat was juicy, seasoning on point. Portion decent for the price. Place was busy but service held up fine. Not mind-blowing, but solid if you're in the area and want something reliable.

The homemade tagliatelle in creamy tomato sauce was really good, and the tiramisu didn't disappoint either. Staff were friendly enough, though we did wait a bit for the bill.

We stumbled on this place by accident and now it's my go-to. The host clearly cares about what he serves. I had a salad with the freshest greens I've had in a while, not overdressed, just simple. My only tiny complaint, the portion was a bit small for the price. But the quality makes up for it.

Lovely spot right on the Vecht, we sat on the veranda with coffee and just watched the boats go by. View over the meadows is gorgeous. Service was a bit slow but honestly didn't mind.

Kids menu saved us — decent portions for the price and the staff didn't fuss when we asked for extra napkins. Location's handy if you're staying near the park. Clean enough, nothing fancy.

The terrace is lovely, really cozy local vibe. Perfect for a glass of wine and some people-watching.

We started with the sharing starter—five different ones, all solid. The wine list had a nice Grüner that paired well with the lighter plates. Setting is modern, relaxed, good for a casual dinner. Only minor thing: service slowed down a bit near the end. But I'd come back for that starter round alone.

Lunch menu’s got some proper hits — hot chicken sandwich and that mustard soup were both solid. Portions are big, no complaints there. Service was friendly enough, nothing over the top. Place was a bit busy but that’s fine. Wouldn’t mind going back for the soup alone.

The seating area is pretty comfortable, though the chairs felt a bit low for the tables. Food came out nicely plated, but a couple dishes had more spice than expected.

Decent schnitzel and salmon for lunch. Service was friendly and quick. Desserts were the best part, honestly.

Busy Saturday lunch but they squeezed us in. The beef sandwich on organic bread was solid, pink latte nice too. Place felt a bit rushed though.

My husband and I came to your wonderful restaurant yesterday evening with friends. This is the second time that we have visited Restaurant Johannes. Exceptional and friendly service, absolutely delicious food and a marvelous atmosphere. We live in Westerhaar in Overijssel and will certainly visit you again. Thank you for the fabulous evening. Best Wishes Belinda and Wim Noppers
