This is a proper village local. The food's good, but the portions are on the smaller side for the price. I left feeling a bit peckish still. It's a nice spot, and they're very welcoming to dogs.

The carvery had a nice selection of vegetables today, all very fresh and not overcooked. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside, which I really appreciate. Good to see some healthier sides available alongside the meats.

Lovely suite, very peaceful. The dinner service was the highlight though. Had the roasted squash risotto - really well executed. A couple of the local wine pairings were spot on.

Came here with my dog while travelling. They actually have a separate room for people with pets, which is a lifesaver. Means you can actually sit down and eat without worrying. The food was decent, but honestly, that dedicated space is the main reason I'd come back.

The atmosphere at this restaurant is truly lovely, making it a perfect spot for celebrations. The staff were amazing and the food was perfection!

Lovely stay. The room was cosy and well presented, with nice local toiletries. Food is cooked fresh to order, which was great. Staff were welcoming and the dog-friendly policy is a big plus. Just a note that the breakfast service can get a little slow when they're busy.

Great service by a generally young, enthusiastic team.Well priced wine for the quality at a very sensible mark-up.We can’t fault the food and it was very consistent across a variety of dishes. We would definitely recommend as a great local business to support.

The food is freshly and well cooked using great ingredients. The menu has something for everyone. We received a good greeting on arrival and the surroundings were comfortable and well tended. Service was cordial and the staff very pleasant and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our luncheon in the pleasing surroundings.

Popped in for the Wednesday burger deal. For a fiver, you get a proper, juicy patty and decent chips. Can't really argue with that.

The terrace view is lovely, but honestly, the portion sizes for the price are a bit disappointing. Ordered the grilled sea bass and it felt quite small for what you pay. Nice spot, but not the best value.

Lovely chilled vibe for a Sunday. Carly was just so warm and attentive, really made us feel looked after. That kind of genuine service is a nice touch.

The pepperoni pizza with spicy honey was spot on. Had it with a pint in the sunshine. The pressed lamb shoulder inside was really succulent. Can't beat this spot on a sunny evening.

The room was a good size and spotless, which was nice. Plenty of space to spread out without feeling cramped. Handy for exploring Sidmouth, too.

The wine was chilled just right. Had a glass with the steak, really hit the spot. Good list to choose from.

Been coming here for Sunday lunch with my mates almost every week. The roast is always spot on, and the staff are so lovely - they remembered our usual table this time. Just a really nice, welcoming vibe for catching up.

The Sunday roast is a winner. The beef was really tender, and the Yorkshire pudding was spot on. Veggies were nicely done too.

Plenty of free parking, which is a huge plus. Just remember to register your car at the counter when you get there—easy to forget!

This place offers a great carvery at a reasonable price. The staff are always helpful and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal.

Great to see so many gluten-free options clearly marked on the menu. Makes choosing a meal so much easier.

Service was pretty efficient even though it was busy. Ordered on the app and my food and drink arrived quicker than expected. The app itself was a bit clunky to navigate, but overall a decent experience.

Stopped by for a bite. The team here is genuinely nice, made us feel looked after without being fussy. It was a good vibe.

The room was so spacious and clean, just what I needed. It's a busy pub downstairs, but honestly, you wouldn't know it up here. So quiet. A really comfy spot to unwind.

A lovely old pub with a menu that really caters to gluten-free needs. The gluten-free fish and chips I had were spot on – the batter was crisp and light, and the fish itself tasted incredibly fresh. It's nice to have such a thoughtful selection.

A nice, cosy pub. The staff were very friendly, let us have our own snacks and helped us set up the pool table. Made for a pleasant, relaxed evening.

A bit pricey, but you can taste the quality. That gorgonzola tagliatelle was the star for me - the pasta was spot on and the sauce so creamy.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is lovely, especially with the live music on Monday nights. The staff were incredibly attentive, making the dining experience even better.

The room was spotless, cleaned daily which I really appreciated. Staff were lovely - friendly and always quick to help if we needed anything. A comfortable, hassle-free stay.

A large Wetherspoons, nice smart interior. I tried the Quorn nugget wrap. The spicy kick was good, and I liked that you could see the fresh salad leaves and crisp veg in it. For under £4 with a coffee, it's a decent lunch option if you're watching what you eat.

Nice spot by the water. The oysters were fresh. Staff were sound, helped us pack up the shells to take home. Decent lunch.
