Nice spot for a family dinner. The staff were really attentive, which was appreciated. I did notice the grilled salmon was a bit overdone for my liking, but the side salad was fresh and crisp.

Decided to try their Sunday roast. The portion was huge - the plate was loaded with meat, potatoes, and all the trimmings. Honestly couldn't finish it all. For the price, it's a proper feed. The burger was decent too, but the roast is the one.

The Alice in Wonderland theme is fun and quirky. Portions are decent for the price, which is nice.

Lunch menu steak and ale pie was incredible. Flaky pastry, rich filling. Honestly one of the best. Dinner's rib-eye with peppercorn sauce is fine, but that pie is the star.

Lovely welcome and the room had a fun, quirky feel. Breakfast was tasty, but the portions were a bit on the small side for the price. Great location right in the centre of Ely, though.

Chloe was lovely, very attentive. The lunch was good, and the place is bright and modern. For what you pay, the portions are decent. I'd say it's fairly priced for the area.

The hot chocolate here is exactly what you need. It's thick, not too sweet, and has a proper dark chocolate flavour that warms you right up. Just a solid, no-fuss drink.

The burgers are reliably good here, always fresh and hot. I'm particularly fond of the Chicken Royal – it's consistently piping hot and has a lot more flavour than the one I've tried at other places. A solid choice for a casual meal.

Great spot for a catch-up with mates! The vibe is super cosy, and it gets busy fast - we had to wait a bit for a table, but it was worth it.

The wine list is solid, plenty of choices by the glass. Had a glass of the house red with the steak, worked well together.

Been coming here for years, and the garden view of the cathedral is still the main draw for me. It’s just a reliably peaceful spot to unwind with a drink.

The vegetarian options here are impressive. I had the mushroom risotto, and the wine list had a nice pairing suggestion that worked well. Prices are decent for a station spot.

Amin, the owner, has this way of making you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. So welcoming. It's a nice touch that the place gets involved with local charities too.

Busy spot by the canal, had to wait a bit. The salt beef sandwich was good, proper meat. But the spinach garnish felt a bit heavy, watercress would've been nicer. Solid spot for a cuppa and a bite.

Nice spot for a celebration. The food was very good, and the service was attentive. A bit on the pricey side, but fine for a treat.

Popped in for a late bite. The margherita pizza was spot on, simple and fresh. Finished with a tiramisu that was just the right amount of sweet. Good, relaxed vibe.

The kebabs were fantastic, and they paired perfectly with a bold red wine. The homemade chilli sauce had a great kick to it.

Nice bright space, interesting art on the walls. Had the grilled salmon lunch set here. Fish was cooked just right, not dry at all. A solid spot for a casual bite.

The staff were so welcoming, and the traditional music they played was a lovely touch. Really made the evening feel homely.

Good to see vegan and gluten-free options clearly marked on the menu. Makes choosing straightforward.

The small plates are great for sharing, and the portions are generous. The seating was a bit tight for our group though.

Dog-friendly, which is a big plus for us. The vibe is relaxed, perfect for a casual meal with the family.

Lovely view of the cathedral from the terrace on a sunny day. Had a coffee and a slice of their carrot cake - it was moist and not too sweet. A nice, quiet spot for a little break.

Sat in the courtyard garden for afternoon tea. Lovely spot under the mulberry tree, very peaceful. Service was spot-on. My only quibble – the tea selection was a bit limited for a proper pairing. Still, a nice way to spend an afternoon.

Popped in for a quick drink but the place was so cosy we decided to stay. Had the Italian bread toastie, which was really nice, with crisps and a little salad. The booths are super comfortable, perfect for a relaxed lunch.

The food here is genuinely different from your usual Indian spot. Portions are generous for the price, which is a nice change.

Coffee's reliably strong and rich. Booked one of the little huts outside, which was a nice spot to settle in. The service was friendly and made the whole thing very easy. A pleasant, comfortable visit.
