The wifi was fast and the place stayed quiet enough to focus. Soup hit the spot too—simple but fresh. Good spot for a workday.

Been coming here for a while now. The vegan burger is solid, though the patty's a bit dense and they put regular mayo on it last time. Still, the service keeps me coming back.

I had a wonderful time. Fantastic food and while they were quite busy the staff were friendly and offered great suggestions. Finding the entrance and reception was a bit tricky but once I connected with the staff everything went smoothly.

Stopped by after wandering around Zollverein — needed a proper break. Coffee was solid, cake even better. Staff let me take my time, no rush at all. Place has that relaxed vibe you don't always find near tourist spots. Would've liked a proper wine option with the dessert, but the espresso did the job fine.

Food’s solid, no complaints there. Place has a decent vibe but it’s tight when busy. Staff were friendly enough, just don’t come starving at peak time unless you’re cool waiting a bit. I’d swing by again if I’m in the area and it’s not packed.

Service was quick, staff friendly enough. Had the schnitzel, it was decent—crispy, not greasy. Place was busy but we got a table right away. Fine for a no-fuss dinner. Maybe not the most memorable meal, but it did the job. Prices fair for what you get.

Finally a proper flat white in Essen! Milk was steamed just right, not too hot. Quick service too. Good spot for a catch-up with friends. ☕

Came here with a couple of friends and we all loved the chicken salad. The wine was good too, nothing crazy but it hit the spot. Interior is really nicely done, kind of artsy but not try-hard. We ended up staying way longer than planned just chatting. Only thing is it got a bit warm inside when it was full. Still a solid spot for a chill hangout.

Good spot for Sunday cake and coffee. Counter had plenty of options, coffee was solid. Park seating across the road is a plus.

Stopped by for a quick bite before heading home—the terrace is really nice, open area and all. Service was fast, which I appreciated. Ten minutes on foot from the station, so super convenient. Got the snack deal, decent price for what you get. Nothing fancy, but it did the job.

Stumbled onto this place right by the river, just at the edge of the old town. The building itself is lovely—old, a bit worn, but that’s part of the charm. Interior feels cozy, not fancy. Sat by the window and watched people pass. Nothing mind-blowing, but the setting alone made it worth stopping in for a drink.

The com ga here actually reminded me of Vietnam, not gonna lie. Chicken was tender, rice had that right fragrance. Place is small and family-run, kinda feels like you walked into someone's living room. Good for a casual catch-up with friends. Sesame balls were a nice little sweet ending too. Just wish they had more seating, we almost had to wait.

Walked in for a quick coffee and ended up grabbing a pastry too. The roll I got was fresh and pretty good, but I noticed some of the other stuff looked like it had been sitting out a while. Still, for the price, it's okay. Just pick carefully before you order.

Service was quick, staff friendly. Got the scrambled eggs — slightly undercooked for my taste, but the rest was fine. Decent spot if you're nearby and don't want to wait long. Nothing fancy, but it does the job.

The breaded shrimp and fish fillet were solid. Fresh fish, cooked right. Prices have gone up though, used to be a better deal.

Stopped by for a quick bite and coffee. Cappuccino was smooth, no complaints there. Shakshuka hit the spot too. Place has a chill vibe, vintage coffee machines around are a nice touch. Service was fast enough for a lunch break. Solid spot if you're nearby and short on time.

The pork knuckle was the star. Crispy skin, tender meat, proper mustard on the side. That’s what I came for. Portion is generous, maybe too much for one. Didn’t pay much attention to the terrace or the staff, but the food did the job. Solid spot if you want a hearty German meal without fuss.

If you're looking for a place with great value for money, this restaurant is it! The quality of the food is outstanding, and the prices are reasonable, especially for the generous portions.

The pork knuckle was the star of the night. Crispy skin, tender meat. We were eight people and everyone seemed happy with their plates. Apple strudel for dessert hit the spot. Place has that classic Bavarian buzz, a bit loud but it fits the vibe. Just wish the service was a touch quicker.

Menu’s small but the food’s really good. Just expect a bit of a wait when it’s packed—only one guy serving everyone. Fine for a casual catch-up though 🙂

The scrambled eggs with sucuk were a good portion for the price. Cappuccino was done right as well. Nice spot for a relaxed breakfast. Seats were comfortable enough to sit and take my time. Only thing was the service was a bit slow, but I wasn't in a rush.
