Lovely spot in Leeuwarden — the food was solid and the staff actually seemed happy to be there. My starter was the highlight, wish I'd skipped the main and ordered another one.

Service was friendly, kids got treated really well. Pancakes were decent, toppings a bit hit or miss though. Fine for a casual stop, nothing crazy.

Stopped by on our way through town. The braised beef was properly tender, and the wild game had real flavour. French toast made with Frisian sugar bread for dessert — that was the standout. Staff were friendly enough, nothing over the top. Place was busy but fine. Wouldn't mind coming back if I'm in the area again.

The interior is really charming, those coffee grinders on the wall are a nice touch. Green beans with bacon surprised me, actually tasty. Service was thoughtful when something went wrong, they handled it well. Fair prices too.

The pork belly main was €16.50 and honestly worth every cent. Wine list is decently priced too. That crispy skin did it for me.

Two pizzas, a salad, and drinks ran us about €45. Fair enough for the quality. Quick service too, got in and out without wasting time.

Been here a few times now, and that beef stew (Oma Henny's) keeps me coming back. Staff are friendly too, even when it's not busy. Solid spot.

The apple pie here is really good — flaky crust, not too sweet. Terrace looks out over the boats, which is nice. Service was friendly too.

The lemongrass chicken banh mi was solid, though the bread needed more crunch. Portion size was decent for the price. That's about it.

Came here twice while we were in town. First time was good enough to go back. I had the grilled chicken salad — greens were actually fresh, not wilted like you get in a lot of places. Dressing on the side, which I appreciate. Portion was big, maybe too big for lunch honestly. Just wish they had more veggie options on the menu.

Delicious! We had to wait a bit longer than expected but well worth the wait.

Decent burger after a long bike ride. Meat was cooked well, bun held up fine. Staff didn't mind us switching tables a couple of times, which was nice. Pretty good spot if you're in the area and want something simple. Just wish the fries were a bit hotter.

We sat near the window and the light was really nice, made the whole place feel more open. Food was good, no complaints there. Service was fine too, nothing overly formal. Prices seemed okay for what you get. Just a solid spot if you’re in the area and want a relaxed meal without any fuss.

The salad and burger were solid, and that ferry view is such a nice touch. Cauliflower was surprisingly good too. Cozy spot to hang out with friends, though it got a little quiet for my taste. 😄

Kibbeling was fresh and well portioned, outdoor seating a plus. Fair price for what you get.

Stopped by for a quick bite and honestly the speed of service caught me off guard. Food came out before I even settled in. Cozy little spot, nothing fancy but does the job. Prices are fair for what you get. Staff seemed genuinely friendly, not that fake hospitality thing. Wouldn't mind coming back if I'm in the area again.

Decent spot for a casual meal. Food was good, nothing fancy, and the place had a relaxed vibe. Service was friendly enough.

Stopped by for a quick bite and honestly the portions surprised me. Got the grilled chicken and it was juicy, not dry at all. Price felt fair for what you get. Place was busy but food came out fast. Nothing fancy but it does the job when you want something decent without breaking the bank.

Stopped by for coffee and dessert after the Planetarium. The apple pie was homemade, really good. Coffee strong and hot, just what I needed. The outdoor seating area is lovely, quiet enough to actually relax. Only thing, service was a bit slow but we weren't in a hurry. Nice little spot.

The Michelin star is well-deserved at Restaurant Smink! The attention to detail in both the food and service creates a memorable evening that exceeds expectations.

The bitterballen were properly crispy outside, molten inside. Tried the saté too—peanut sauce had real depth. Portion size decent for the price. Place was busy but food came quick. Would go back just for that saté alone.

The apple pie here is seriously good. Homemade, still warm, not too sweet. I ended up staying longer than planned just because the place felt so chill. Service was on point too, never had to wait long for anything. Definitely the kind of spot you'd come back to for a lazy afternoon.

We sat near the window and the light was really nice, but the chairs got a bit hard after an hour. Food was decent though, nothing to complain about.

Stopped by for lunch and the place has a nice witchy vibe without being over the top. Had the pumpkin soup and a sandwich—both were decent, pretty good actually. Portion was fine for the price. Only downside was it got a bit busy around noon, but that's on me for timing. Wouldn't mind going back if I'm in the area.

The food was really good, but honestly the patio is what made it for me. So nice to sit outside after sunset. Service was friendly too.

Loved the outdoor seating with the fireplaces — perfect for a sunny beer. Staff handled my wife's egg allergy without any fuss.

Stopped by for a quick bite and honestly the food was solid. Had the grilled fish and it came out juicy, not overcooked. Drinks were decent too. Place is small but comfy, and yeah even the bathroom was clean, which says a lot. Service was a bit slow but they were busy. Wouldn't mind coming back if I'm in the area again.

Came here for dinner during our stay on the island. Had the grilled fish and it was cooked properly, flaky and moist. Portion size surprised me, plenty of food for the price. Staff kept things moving even when it got busy. Solid spot if you're hungry and don't want to gamble on a random place. Only thing, the sides were a bit plain, but the main dish made up for it.
