Been coming here for years, and it&#39;s the consistency that keeps me coming back. That historic building and the Tudor vibe never get old. The food&#39;s always solid - had the steak and ale pie again last week, and it was just as good as ever. A proper, reliable spot.

Popped in for lunch while on a work trip. The daily specials were pretty good, with some nice Italian touches. Proper home-cooked style, a decent change from the usual. Portions were generous, though the dining room was a bit warm.
