Solid spot for a quick bite. The fish and chips are decent, not greasy at all. Good for a reliable lunch. Location's handy with a big car park nearby, makes it easy. Just what you need when you're in a rush.

Loved the high seats here, they give you a bit of privacy without feeling closed off. The whole vibe is just right for a relaxed meal. Food arrived super hot, which is always a plus.

Ordered delivery to our campsite, which was a lifesaver. The driver was super nice, and my pad thai was still steaming hot when it got here. Perfect for a chilly night under the stars.

The goulash is a proper, hearty portion. The chicken and ham pie is packed with filling too. It’s the kind of food that just feels right for a cosy, low-lit pub like this.

Stopped by on a whim. The lady working was so cheerful, she suggested a sandwich. It was actually really tasty. For what you pay, the portion was decent. Felt like a proper, no-fuss lunch.

The gluten-free batter was surprisingly crispy, which I really appreciated. It's clear they take cross-contamination seriously here.

Happy hour is a steal - three courses for under £20. The tiramisu really stood out, packed a proper coffee liqueur punch. Solid deal for what you get.

The Thursday cocktail specials are a nice treat. I really enjoyed the 80s playlist they had on, it made for a pleasant, relaxed evening. The seating was comfortable too, which is always a plus.

A really nice pub in Ambleside. The food is consistently good, which makes it a reliable choice. I find the seating here much more comfortable than the other local spot, so I tend to settle in for a longer, more relaxed meal.

Popped in for a quick bite while waiting for the ferry. The homemade toastie was fresh and tasty, hit the spot. Nice little spot right by the water.

The Mexican eggs with chilli and avocado were a nice touch. Decent quality and service even when it's busy.

The steak and ale pie was the highlight for me. The crust was just right, and the filling was so hearty. They even gave us extra gravy for the chips, which was a nice touch. Really solid pub grub.

A warm welcome and quick service. The all-day breakfast was really good, the bacon in particular was nicely done. Everything tasted fresh. A solid spot for a casual meal.

Great value for money. We were a table of four, had a full meal with drinks and the bill was very reasonable. The quality you get for the price is really impressive.

Stopped for an ice cream in the village square. The compostable cup was a nice touch. Just sat on a bench and watched people go by for a bit. Simple and good.

A lovely chippy with a large menu. The sweet and sour chicken balls were nice, but I really noticed how fresh the fish bites were. They were huge and tasted so clean, not greasy at all. The staff were very kind.

Solid antipasti platter to start. Fresh ingredients, good variety. Tiramisu was decent, not too sweet.

Thin crust pizza was spot on. Seafood with chilli oil worked well. Service was efficient, got my order quickly. Convenient for a solo business lunch. Price is reasonable for the location.

Great spot for a quick bite. Food is homemade, coffee's good. Gets the job done.

Crispy poppadoms with the chutney tray are a great start. Food is always tasty and well-priced.

Service was really on point. They were polite, attentive, and actually helpful when I couldn't decide on a dish. Not pushy at all.
