The coffee and cakes are decent, but I was a bit surprised by the price for the portion size. The space does feel brighter after the refurb, which is nice. Just wish the snacks offered a bit more for what you pay.

Solid, hearty food. The view over the open field is nice. Good selection of bread and pies to take away. Decent value.

The burgers are really good, juicy and cooked just right. The beer list is solid too. But what stood out was the vibe - the lighting was soft, and the wooden tables felt nice and sturdy. Just a comfortable spot to unwind.

Been coming here for years when I'm out walking. Got caught in a downpour yesterday and ducked in. Coffee's always good and strong, just what you need. Staff are nice, never feel rushed to leave. It's a proper local spot.

The gin list is huge, and the wine wall is actually affordable. Felt quite fancy but still cosy, just right for a quiet drink.

The vegan fish and chips are really good. The staff were so friendly, which made the whole visit very comfortable.

Dog-friendly spot with board games. The pizzas looked huge and tasty, even though I didn't order one.

Really nice meal, everything looked lovely on the plate. The staff were so pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. It's the kind of place where you can just relax and enjoy your dinner.

Nice spot if you're bringing a dog. They handled our big group with several pets pretty well. The outdoor area was fine for them. Food was decent, though a bit on the pricey side.

My regular stop for pastries in the Lake District. They bake in small batches all day, so nothing ever feels like it's been sitting around. The smell when you walk in is just lovely.

The team here were so lovely with my friend's gluten-free request. They really took the time to make sure everything was right for her, which made our catch-up feel extra relaxed. The wine was a nice touch too.

Been coming here for years, and that butterfly pea drink is still the one thing I always order. It's just so refreshing, especially on a warm day. Not something you find in many places around here.

Had the Sunday roast here. The beef portion was huge, honestly couldn't finish it all. They boxed up the leftovers for us, which was a nice touch. For the price, you definitely get a lot.

Late night takeaway is the only reason I come here. The chicken katsu curry is solid. The sauce has a decent depth of flavour and the cutlet stays crispy even in the box. A bit more rice would be nice, but it hits the spot when you're starving at 1am.

The bottomless pizza deal is a steal. Slices are massive, and the staff kept my plate topped up without me even asking. Felt like a proper feast without the usual rush.

Had a late lunch here after our hike. The place was packed but the staff were really on it, checking in without being overbearing. Friendly, efficient service when you're tired and hungry makes all the difference.

Mediterranean Royale was spot on. Came out quick and hot, just what you need on a short lunch break. Good portion for the price.

The steak pie was the highlight for me. The pastry was perfectly flaky and the filling was so rich and tender. Couldn't get enough of it!

Been coming for years, and the bartenders still know how to surprise you. Letting them pick your cocktail is the way to go.

A nice relaxed spot, and they're dog-friendly which is a plus. The staff have a good sense of humour. We shared a platter with our wine, which was decent. It's a pretty good place for a casual evening.

Menu had a lot of choice, which was nice. Tried their gluten-free pizza. It was decent, not the best I've had but perfectly fine. Good to see places offering that option.

Dog-friendly spot. Staff brought water and treats for my pup. Cozy, nice view from the window. Good for a casual bite with your dog.

Cosy little spot, nice and warm inside. The mocktails were a pleasant surprise, had a couple of those. Cocktail list looked decent too. Good for a quiet drink.

The cheese and charcuterie board was solid. Staff took a moment to explain the selections, which was helpful. The pickled grapes were a nice touch. Good for a quick business lunch near the office.

The two-for-one cocktails were a pleasant surprise. They were well-made, not watered down at all. The space is spacious with a nice vibe. A solid choice for a casual drink after work.

The place just feels so cosy and welcoming. Staff are lovely and really know their stuff - they suggested a dish I'd never have ordered myself and it was spot on.

Staff are friendly, owner often cooks himself. He accommodated a last-minute request to adjust a dish's spice level, which was appreciated. Service was responsive without being intrusive. A solid, no-fuss experience.
