Service was fast, but they handed me someone else's plate first. Food tasted good, just a touch salty. Would've liked a wine suggestion to go with it, though.

Nice local spot with a solid beer selection. The terrace heaters made sitting outside actually comfortable on a chilly night. Not too crowded either, which I appreciated.

Solid German beer and the schnitzel was decent. Place gets pretty loud inside but that's part of the charm I guess. Good spot if you want that traditional Brauhaus feel without the tourist trap vibe.

Very nice people, even with full esplanade during busy weekend, inside we had a really nice and quiet lunch with our kid!

Stopped by after the new owners took over. Sandwiches are still big, that’s good. Service was actually friendly this time, even when it got busy. Had the club, plenty of filling. Place could use a bit of a wipe down but nothing terrible. Solid spot for a quick lunch if you're in the area.

Stopped by again on my last visit—still solid. The schnitzel was crispy and the potato salad had that nice tangy kick. Place gets busy around noon, so you might wait a bit. But honestly, the food came out fast once we ordered. Happy I picked this spot again.

Came Saturday morning thinking they’d be serving food early—nope, kitchen opens at 9. Pre-made sandwiches were a bit too saucy for me, but the coffee hit the spot. Went back Monday, food was decent, though everything had a faint turmeric thing going on. Yogurt bowl and homemade peanut butter were the real winners. Service is slow, only three people doing everything, but they’re clearly trying.

The breakfast menu here is pretty big, lots of veggie and vegan options which is nice. Food quality is solid and portions are generous. Modern look inside but feels a bit cold, not super cozy. I'd book a table before coming, it gets busy. Decent spot for a proper breakfast.

Coffee’s solid, pastries are decent too. It’s a chain so nothing special, but you know what you’re getting. Fine for a quick stop.

The golden latte was really nice, smooth and not too sweet. Space is comfortable for sitting a while, though it did get a bit busy later. Almond croissant was already sold out when I got there around 3pm, so go earlier if you want one. I just had the coffee and it was enough for me.

The ribs were properly sticky and the sauce had a real kick to it. Potato wedges on the side, nothing fancy but done right. Cozy enough inside, even with the market bustle right outside.

Been coming here for years, still my favorite dessert place in Aachen. The chocolate cake with fruits is exactly what I keep ordering—never disappoints. Coffee's solid too. Cozy inside, service is quick. Only thing: card only works over 10€, so bring cash if you're just grabbing a small thing.

Been coming here for years now, and the terrace never disappoints. Castle grounds are kept really nice, easy to spend a few hours just wandering. Stopped at the brasserie again this time—staff still friendly, menu's solid. Not the cheapest spot, but you pay for the setting. Always leave feeling like it was worth the drive out.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and they actually returned a lost ring to a guest. That kind of thoughtfulness stood out. Pretty decent service overall.

Cozy little place, staff were easy to talk to. Had the pasta and it hit the spot, nothing fancy but solid. Wouldn't mind coming back.

The apple strudel with vanilla sauce was warm and tasty. Upstairs seating gives you a nice view of the square, though the chairs felt a bit worn. Cozy old-fashioned vibe overall.

The baked camembert with bread was spot on, and the local stew had that rich, slow-cooked taste you don't find everywhere. Place was packed on a Tuesday night, yet the staff stayed friendly. Only thing—we waited a bit for the table, but once seated, everything came out quick. Solid choice if you're in the area.

Cheese bun with egg mayo was fresh and filling. Sweet pastries okay, coffee meh. Fine for a quick bite if you're in the area.

Schnitzel special came out fast and was a solid deal. Portion big enough to skip lunch the next day.

The cake display up front is seriously tempting — rows of chocolates and pastries that make you stop before you even order. I grabbed a baguette ancienne and some macarons. The baguette had that nice chewy texture, macarons were solid too. Seating area is a bit cramped but fine for a quick stop. Would go back for the other stuff.

Been here a few times now. The wraps are solid, that's what I keep coming back for. Flavor's consistent every visit, no complaints there. Staff's friendly enough when you walk in, but honestly I'd eat here even if they weren't. Just good food, plain and simple.

Stopped by after a hike and grabbed the vegetable flatbread. Pretty good, and the homemade lemonade hit the spot. Staff was friendly too.

Food’s solid every time I’ve been. Staff actually makes you feel welcome, not just doing the job. Decent spot if you’re in the area.

Stopped by for lunch, the loaded fries were spot on. Service was quick, no complaints there. Solid spot if you're in the area.

Stopped by for a quick breakfast — the simit was fresh, still warm, and the omelette had a nice fluffy texture. Staff were friendly without hovering. Place is small but fine for a casual bite. Just wish they had a bit more seating, but I’d come back for that simit alone.
